This is an exceptional guest house where the owners have clearly put much thought and effort into covering every potential need. To try to find fault would be churlish.

As a solo business traveller this place was perfect. A friendly welcome; a clean, comfortable room with all basics provided (and a few treats too!); a handy self-serve shop for any basics I might have forgotten; an incredibly well stocked complimentary breakfast room; and easy to park close by in the street. Faultless.

thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay - a great base for revisiting the town we grew up in. Comfy beds and plenty available for the buffet breakfast the next day, would definitely stay again

Great value for money but good size room for a solo traveller. Great facilities without the need for any interaction with hosts - that's how it's set up. Great English breakfast (only £6 extra) with the best fried eggs ever.

Nothing, I absolutely loved my stay. However, the rooms are a little chilly as the hosts keep the heating on low to help keep the cost of staying here down. So if you feel the cold bring a fleece!

Quiet location, easy onstreet parking and swift check-in. The rooms are thoughtfully equipped and immaculately clean and the bed was very comfortable. Self service breakfast with an excellent choice including fresh fruit and coffee machine. Amazingly good value, thank you.

Absolutely nothing

I can't sing the praises of this place enough. If you are a solo traveller, it's great. I spent 4 nights here while visiting family around the area. Chester is easily reached within 40 minutes and there are still some things to do, out of season, around the area. Lisa and Nic are extremely pleasant and polite, and have had some health issues following covid, as so many have, so contact is kept to a minimum, and they have faith in there guests to treat the house respectfully. The room has everything you could want, hairdryer, LONG MIRROR!! Toiletries, tea coffee, chocolate, mini fridge. Let's just say that the photos are true to the rooms. AND the bed is not just a single, so room to stretch out 😀 If you include breakfast I will keep it brief and say you couldn't want for more! Everywhere is spotlessly clean. And there is a store, Chinese and launderette at one end of the street and the quieter end of promenade at the other. Fab thanks again 😀

The toiletries provided were less extensive than I anticipated, for example I assumed "toiletries provided" would include toothpaste but unfortunately not. This was available to buy from the hosts but I still anticipated it being included in the price.

The hosts were very friendly, the room was comfortable and nicely decorated with more amenities than I expected. The self service breakfast was brilliant. It was clean and well maintained

The ease of getting into the property and the room. I was pleasantly surprised to see the little tuck shop that they had, made my evening so much easier. Great room in a great location.

Location - very close to my work base and right next to the beach. Ample street parking. Comfort - spacious room with all amenities including fridge, work station etc. Plenty of goodies, teas, coffees and hot chocolates. Clean and comfortable rooms. A very generous and wonderful host 😊
