Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThis is a multi-floor flat over a commercial space. The master bedroom is on the 3rd floor which from an American perspective is the fourth floor. This is not a good property if you have mobility issues. Also all the beds were on the floor, which posed a challenge when first getting up. The kitchen had a nice electric kettle, but no coffee maker. Fortunately there were multiple coffee shops within a 2 minute walk. Unfortunately they all offered a variety of baked goods, a temptation I faced daily. The weather was unseasonably hot, and the property is not air-conditioned which is common in London. We addressed this by purchasing two oscillating fans to use in the evenings when we were in residence. We left them there for others to use. Finally, do not rely on google maps when scheduling an Uber or Taxi. Google will take you into a blind alley behind the building across the street. The address is 24-A Butte Street. Butte Street is one block long and has been Pedestrian-ized. The bet pick-up or drop-off point is the intersection of Butte Street and Harrington Road.
The rooms are large and the neighborhood was very fun. Location, location, location.

United Kingdom3 flights of stairs but not too bad! - one long set from the entrance up to lounge, kitchen, toilet and outside area, another short staircase leads to two bedrooms / bathroom and then another set of stairs access the larger top bedroom with large en-suite bathroom.
Excellent safe roomy bright airy location above an office on a lovely pedestrianised street lined with cafes and restaurants which close around 9.30-10pm, so very quiet then till around 6.30/7am when they start setting up outside cafe tables. It’s a 7 min walk to the museums, tube station, shops, restaurants nearby etc. Well equipped. Tesco express and others round corner. Great during the heatwave having large windows to open, a fan and little outside area with table too at the rear.

United StatesThe washer dryer is not intuitive. Washes well, but takes forever to dry. Carpets were a bit dirty and worn. Fridge could use some ice trays - the only one in the freezer was small, old and leaky.
Great location, right in the middle of it all. Everything you need is close by. Comfy beds, lots of space and good natural light.

Australia-No A/C, - No lift so we had to carry the heavy suitcases up the stairs (this is expected in London) - It is a 3 storey apartment with stairs
It was in a central location of London and the facilities were in workable order and the beds were comfortable. It was a good stay for a family of 5.

United StatesThe only advise for travelers is that the apartment is distributed in 3 floors, so if you have heavy bags or have difficulty climbing stairs this might not be good for you.
This apartment is extremely well located next to restaurants, coffee shop, supermarket and underground & bus stops (two blocks away at the most). Well maintained, super clean and extremely easy check-in / check-out process. Highly recommended with enough space for a group or family of 6. The pictures in the listing are accurate.

United StatesSome of the living room seating furniture is starting to show wear ie. less comfy. It's a multi-story flat, so a bit of stairs to climb. This was not an issue for myself or anyone in our group, but something to be aware of. The door to the flat is right by a restaurant with outdoor sitting, so it may be easy to miss when you first arrive, and there may also be diners sitting quite close to it, possibly making for slightly awkward, but amusing moments when entering or exiting. On those occasions just come to the door, keys in hand, ready to enter swiftly.
Contact from the host/managing company within minutes of booking to ensure a smooth check in. It's an excellent accommodation: attractive, clean, comfortable, well appointed, and maintained. located in an attractive street/alley with plenty of food choices; it's close to the tube and other public transport; also close to convenience stores; and in a nice, walkable neighborhood, not far from Hyde park, for your morning/evening run or walk. A Perfect stay for two or three couples or a group of friends. I would stay here again any time.

SingaporeThe dryer function of the washing machine did not work so that greatly inconvenienced our stay. Accomodo was very responsive and helped to send the technician quickly to check the machine though unfortunately the issue was not resolved. Do note that there is no aircon (which is ok in cooler weather) but fans were provided in the 2 bedrooms.
Excellent location. Very near to South Kensington tube station and bus stop (3 min walk), and 10 min walk to Gloucester road station. Apartment was equipped for simple cooking and there are convenience stores nearby (Tesco express, little waitrose) to buy groceries or ready meals that can be heated up easily with the microwave in the apartment. There are many restaurants and cafes just below and nearby with variety of food - pubs, fish & chips, pizza, crepes, Lebanese food, Indian food, even bubble tea but that also means it can get a bit noisy at night. The host - accomodo was responsive and replied quickly to questions.

NorwayThe only and it’s really minor is a better cooling system for the warmer months on the top floor. The rest of the house had a great temperature.
The location was exceptional for all the museums and it had great places (restaurants, cafes and a wonderful fruit and vegetable stand with fresh smoothies) all within a few minutes walk. I highly recommend this home for families and solo travelers.

United StatesNo AC… My fault that I did not look more carefully at the amenities, but to have no AC in the middle of a hot London summer and the fact that only two of the five fans worked at the apartment (!) was a big disappointment. It just killed our two days there. It was just ungodly hot and there was no relief by the two very small "personal" fans that were provided. We had 6 of us. Supplies were lacking. One small roll of paper towels in the kitche, and no hand towels in the bathrooms… It was a nice place but certainly they clearly skimped a bit on certain amenities that you would expect from staying at other "fully equipped" apartments in this price range around Europe.
Location was great...right in the heart of some nice shops and pubs.

United KingdomSome stains on the carpets.
The location was perfect for a concert at the Royal Albert Hall which is within walking distance. Kensington Palace, Hyde Park and the Serpentine also within walking distance and The Natural History Museum is just around the corner. Lots of eateries on the street give the location a good vibe. The apartment itself was clean on the whole, spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The patio is great on hot days. It was easy to access through the box key.

IndiaUnfortunately, the experience was severely compromised due to a bed bug infestation in the unit. Shortly after arriving, I began noticing itchy bites and blisters on mine and my friend’s body. Upon further inspection, I found clear signs of bed bugs around the mattress and headboard area. This was not only unsanitary but deeply distressing. I was unable to sleep, had to isolate my belongings to avoid bringing the infestation home, and ultimately had to seek medical attention for the bites I sustained. The physical discomfort, emotional stress, and fear of contamination were traumatizing, and completely overshadowed what was supposed to be a relaxing trip.
