Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Traffic noise
The apartment was clean, the bed was rather small for a double, but the windows need to be replaced or triple glazed. The traffic noise was as bad it was as if the windows were open. Caroline couldn't do enough for us though. She supplied us with a cooling fan as requested.

It's a bit loud near the main road, but that is not the fault of the property nor owner. Blinds let in a bit of light at night, I did not mind this so much as I like a bit of light. Other than that, I couldn't fault it.
Very comfortable. The kitchen had all the essentials, including tea bags and coffee. Loved that both TVs had netflix and amazon Prime also found something to watch. Sofa was super comfortable, as was the bed. The bathroom super clean and shower was so nice.

Noise of passing vehicles early in the morning was an unwelcome surprise
The location was perfect and off street parking was definitely a bonus. The flat itself was stylish, clean and well presented.

The fact the flat is on a very busy road with little to no soundproofing wasn’t ideal, the pavement is directly outside the bedroom window, again not ideal.

Not enough cutlery, only 2 dessert spoons, and no serving spoons. A small coffee table would have been useful in the lounge.. The wardrobe was poorly made and difficult to open and close. Not enough hangers.
Modern clean apartment with most requirements catered for. Good quality appliances and fittings, with instruction manuals. VERY helpful and responsive owner. Excellent parking facilities. Local amenities good.

Nothing really, no foot stools a comfort thing to rest weary old legs. I like to cook👨🍳 and am used to a selection of sharp knives, only one super high end small Santoku knife, but I managed
Exactly as described and more. High end throughout. Easy designated parking close to the apartment. A bonus for us Older Folk. 10 minute walk to town and a large Sainsbury's. Loved it. Will be back as a great base to explore.

A bit out of town. Down hill to get there but a bit of climb back. Parking in town is a nightmare.
Comfortable house with all the requirements to self cater. It even includes a garden area with outdoor seating. Free street parking out the front. Friendly owner, who even left us milk and scones with jam and cream.

We slept well in a comfortable bed, and would simply note for folks who are very light sleepers that the room is close to the street. You may want to use ear plugs to soften the sound of passing cars.
It was such a cheerful and welcoming flat, and access was easy. When a minor problem arose with plumbing, the host went out of her way to stop by with spare towels and assess the situation. She followed up by arranging maintenance the next morning, which was deeply appreciated! It is never a question of whether things go awry occasionally; the question is, how is it dealt with? In this case, we were thrilled to have someone who really cared about our comfort and tried to help right away. This made our stay absolutely super.
