Room was a bit pokey but comfortable having being recently refurbed with new bathroom and air-conditioning unit. Only stayed one night and didn’t use any of the facilities, but would definitely go back

Kettle didn’t work, seemed to be on a base that wasn’t suitable so couldn’t use this. Room was really warm even with the window open. Walls are paper thin! We could hear every conversation in the room above… plus a bit more!

Even though the hotel is still in full refurbishment, it did not feel like that. My room was ready, all brand new and very comfy. Nice bed, nice bathroom. Single room and a bit small, but OK for the night. Plenty of parking, nice welcoming staff. 10 minute walk to the nice city centre. And for a great price including breakfast.

They were a few things, the room was nice and big, however the headboard had a massive brown stain all over it which looked unsightly, the shower head very rusty, looked awful, no cold water running from the bath, and very loud music until at least 1am, and outside the hotel parking was on rumble and doesn’t look like the photos on Booking.com

There was a bit of confusion with my booking, I booked a family room but booking.com only booked a double room .even though the hotel was fully booked the two girls on reception couldn't have done a better job ,every member of staff we came across had an excellent attitude. Hotel is what it is ,great value for money, if your after 5 star facilities then go to a 5 star hotel

The property is under refurbishment so there was unfinished rooms and the front of the property was untidy. But I look forward to seeing it when finished

The bedrooms are spacious and clean. The room was wheelchair accessible although I didn't need it. The breakfast was good The staff were all lovely.

As an older building noises transmit through the structure quite easily. I could hear people talking in adjacent rooms, the sound of creaking floorboards is also evident. This may be resolved during the rolling refurbishment.

Very friendly staff and good amenities for the price. The hotel is going through a rolling refurbishment, so some areas were out of bounds, but it did not detract from a pleasurable stay. The room was slightly dated but very comfortable. The room prices were very attractive but will go up after the refurbishment.

It was noisier than I was expecting at night and in the morning. There was a lot of banging from the room above mine, I could hear conversations late at night and the flushing of the loo and the shower were very audible. I would assume that there isn’t much insulation between floors. Then in the morning the cleaners started hoovering in the corridor at 7am, banging something heavy down the stairs adjacent to my room, possibly the hoover or a customer dragging a suitcase down the stairs. This woke me up and was irritating and avoidable. Also the mattress was poor.

Cleanliness, kettle and tea/coffee in the room, friendly staff, good value.
