the tap water in the toilet was way too hot with no way to control the temperature so it was hard to wash your hands cos it hurt

There was an incessant rumbling throughout the building, which I can only assume was the underground, but it made me a little worried as my drinks were rattling on the table. The room was incredibly hot, and the beds were a little cramped as they were three bunk beds in one. The lockers are a great touch, but mine didn't lock properly.

There was a worker at the bar who was very helpful, I don't want to assume their gender but I think they were male with long hair (just above his shoulders). He was very helpful and friendly. The chill out room was brilliant; very comfortable, and it provided a fridge, kettle, and microwave facilities with a TV and great selection of DVDs. The drinks and food were reasonably priced. I felt safe in the all female dormitory, and I was able to borrow a towel from the reception (as I had forgotten mine).

I initially stayed in the 9 bed female dorm and it wa super cramped, the room heated up like a sauna, the tap in the bathroom only poured boiling hot water and the shower was not not great. There’s obviously no kitchen and also no social / community elements either. Really not an ideal stay.

The area was close to Camden markets and to the Northern line which was good. The 6 bed female dorm was spacious.

My keycard didn't work on day two - luckily it was daytime and this was rectified quickly. I hadn't brought a towel. it would be great if a small / medium-sized towel could be provided to guests either free or at a small charge. same with hairdryer.

I found my dorm room at St Christophers to be a decent size for the number of beds. The bed linen was clean and there were no bad smells. lots of windows onto Camden High Street meant it was airy and bright. A toilet, a basin and a shower were en-suite which was great. Staff in the bar were helpful even when busy.

Maybe brown bread for toast would have been a nice addition. Coffee basic but again I wouldn't really expect artisan coffee when paying a fiver for brekkie.

The breakfast is basic but for a fiver you cannot knock it. Fresh, nicely laid out and plenty food to set you up for a day in London.

Well the beds aren’t very private in the shared room so if you want to have sex unless you wanted everyone to see it would have been a bit public in the room and just thinking I could have booked a double or maybe as a hostels general rule you could have a curtain or net curtain maybe around the beds or those surf beaded ones?

I loved the friendly staff member Scott and I loved the friendly meeting area with tvs and formula 1 racing on. I like how Belushis has a big bar area and a bar going sorta tourism interested crowd of people and I liked the underground food area and the drinks area!!

-Quite noisy (but it is in the middle of Camden!) and you can hear/feel the tube passing under you ^^ I was able to sleep though without ear plugs. -Beds are shorter than 6ft so if you're tall take this into consideration! -Lights don't turn off in the shower/toilet meaning you have to make sure the doors are closed so you can sleep!

There was a problem during my stay that wasn't fixed - there was only steaming hot water in the sink in my room, it was impossible to use it because of the temperature. I had to use the communal toilets to brush my teeth. Also, despite the daily cleaning, there was a pig in my room who created impressive mess in the bathroom every day - this is NOT the hostel's fault, just worth mentioning as you never know who could share the room with you. Breakfasts were okay, just your regular continental breakfast, got the job done but nothing fancy.

The staff were amazing! Very friendly and helpful! The bed, mattress, and pillows were very comfortable. The food at the bar was good. The location is superb! Easy to get to all the London essentials (the British Museum is only a 30-minute WALK away! And even faster by transit/taxi). Water in the shower was good temperature and high pressure.
