Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Breakfast was superb - wide choice of quality food perfectly presented. Little "extras" like Welsh cakes and muffins unexpected but gratefully received. A little gem run by Colin and Estelle - brilliant hosts.

ItalyAbsolutely everything was perfect, from the moment we parked in front of the house to our last goodbye on the doorstep! Colin and Estelle are wonderful hosts, they made us feel at home as soon as we met them. Both of them know Pembrokeshire quite well, so their precious tips were very helpful in our hikes across the county. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable, as well as the en-suite bathroom. The breakfast is delicious and served with the utmost care. Thank you for this wonderful stay, we will be sure to come back!

United KingdomWhen we arrived, Colin told us about the history of the house. It was designed as the vicarage for the church next door, by the vicar’s brother who happened to be an architect. The house and its garden are beautiful. Colin and Estelle were perfect hosts with plenty of time to chat to their guests.

United KingdomMy husband and I have just returned from a wonderful mini break at the beautiful St Davids Guest House in Pembrokeshire, and we couldn’t be happier with our stay. From the moment we arrived, Colin gave us the warmest of welcomes. He took the time to share the fascinating history of the house, which he clearly cares deeply about – and that passion really shines through in every detail of the property. The next morning, we were greeted by Estelle, who was absolutely fantastic at breakfast. She was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely lovely to chat with – nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast itself was spot on – everything you could possibly want to set you up for the day, beautifully prepared and presented. A special mention has to go to Colin’s homemade muffins – they’re an absolute must-try! We stayed in the Pembroke Room, which was stunning. Thoughtfully styled to reflect the Victorian charm of the building, it had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay – from a well-stocked hot drinks station (with a great variety of teas and coffees) to a cosy seating area perfect for reading or watching TV. The bed was incredibly comfy, and the spacious bathroom with a large walk-in shower was immaculate. Outside, the garden is a peaceful haven – colourful, well-kept, and with lovely seating areas ideal for unwinding in the fresh air. All in all, we had such a lovely experience and would definitely love to return. St Davids Guest House is a real gem, run by fantastic hosts who clearly care about every guest’s experience. Highly recommended!

Everything was perfect, the rooms and facilities were exquisite and very clean. The number of complementary drink options in the room were the best we've seen, including the menu for breakfast. Last but not least, Colin and Estelle were very attentive, courteous, and friendly hosts. A lovely stay, thanks again.

A privilege to stay in this stunning home - A really friendly greeting on our arrival along with some history of the guesthouse. Our beautiful room had everything we needed, the decor was in keeping with its history but with modern comforts - we stayed in the Pembroke suite which was stunning with a very modern bathroom. Tea/coffee facilities in the room were brilliant and the spare room across the hallway had a fridge with fresh milk etc (great to keep the next days packed lunch in) Breakfast was amazing, lots of variety and the homemade muffins were to die for. The guesthouse is also a great base if you are visiting Skomer Island, it is just 25 mins from Martins Haven car park. Colin and Estelle were the perfect hosts and we really look forward to going back

United StatesWe Chose St. David's Guesthouse as a convenient base to visit the surrounding area, but we were not expecting such lovely accommodations and exceptional hosts . Every possible need you could imagine have already been thought of by Colin and Estelle, some before you even think of them. Everything was comfortable, clean, updated where it matters (our bathroom was amazing), or left period-appropriate to add to the ambience. Honestly, we felt spoiled. Breakfast was delicious, and the lovingly cared-for house and grounds were a peaceful oasis after a day of sightseeing the south coast of Wales, or hiking, or beachgoing. Colin and Estelle are just delightful, and are happy to share their knowledge of both the history of the home, and the wider area. Though the town itself isn't remarkable, St. David's Guesthouse certainly is.

United StatesNot specifically about the guesthouse, but we had a tiny snafu when we arrived in Haverfordwest where we tried to take a taxi to the guesthouse. Long story short, it took a while to get the driver to understand where we wanted to go and then to figure out where it was located.
I loved everything about staying at the guesthouse. Colin and Estelle were so welcoming and friendly, our room was amazing and felt like a retreat. The shower was great, the breakfast was made-to-order by Colin, and the house was exceedingly comfortable. It was a great place to stay. If I’m ever in Haverfordwest again, I will definitely stay here.
