Property is on a hill, takes about 18 minutes to walk from train/bus station but there is a bus that stops just outside the property. The water pump is quite noisy and the walls are not soundproofed. Luckily the other guests were very respectful with noise.

The room was exceptional: spacious, with a dining table two in the main room, plus lounge area, a galley kitchen which was exceptionally well equipped, including with a washing machine and oven. The room also had air conditioning, which was very welcome in the extreme heat at the weekend. Location was perfect for exploring the Brecon Beacons.

Bed was small for us and low and was on the hard side. Didn't sleep great but we did sleep. Hotel was up atop a hill which was a slog of a walk for us. We arrived by train.

People, very welcoming. Room spacious. Kitchenette well laid out. I only made a cup of tea. Shower, very good. Lovely looking building. I only took one photograph, sorry.

The property is beautiful and the room is fantastic. Everything you need and extra touches like Welsh Cakes in your room. It really is a lovely find and will definitely be back if ever in the area again.

The parking was a little difficult to find locally - there were building projects on one street and the other close was heavily residential… but always eventually found a spot

The people in the room above us returned late at night and as our room was by the front door, their heavy footfall woke us up

These studios were superb, ultra clean, the beds were comfy and the room was quiet. The kitchen was well equipped with fridge/ freezer, microwave, kettle, sink and washing machine, tea, coffee. Fresh Eccles cakes were also provided and were so yummy! It is a short walk into town also.

Host has thought of pretty much everything!

Good upscale part of town. It was a little difficult to find but host had detailed instructions, which helped a lot. Parking slightly challenging but not impossible. The rooms are beautifully designed and furnished thoughtfully; bedding and linen are good. Kitchen quite useful. Bath very well updated. Host had area information in a folder. Nice welcome with Welsh cakes.

Small issue with door key hole in my room as would take some digging to actually get the key in. Good TV mount but has been placed on wall wonky.

EVERYTHING, milk and cold water in fridge was excellent with ice in freezer. Bed was comfortable. Lovely clean bathroom. Very lovely owners too, very welcoming, and instructed me a safe place to park.

The town itself is limited, so you would need to drive to attractions.

No mountain view, also parking was a bit of an issue, just a tiny bit.

Really nice space, spacious and clean. The owner provided us with a nice treat on arrival and even offered an heater when we complained about the space being cold

Nothing I didn't like.

The accommodation had practical and thoughtful touches not found in most places. eg a non slip mat for the shower and earplugs. Claire is a perfect host, friendly and chatty but not intrusive. I loved that she was proud of her home town and I would highly recommend Glenthorne and hope to stay again. Bus stops are just a few steps away with a frequent service into town. Superb!!
