Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThis property has so much going for it but it lacks some things that you expect in an apartment holiday stay. Kitchen equipment that enables you to cook if you wish. If there is a washing machine somewhere to hang your laundry. Iron and ironing board just in case you need to press that shirt before the party you are going to. Some information on the local area, places to visit and recommendations for meals, where to park your car. Information folder. Instructions on how to use tv, heating and local emergency contact details. Unfortunately the foyer houses the rubbish bins, not the best welcome and probably more a body corporate problem rather than fault of the host. And please don’t organise real estate visits while there are guests staying.
The apartment was in a great location and a very easy walk into the centre of town. Definitely spacious for a four day stop and plenty of room for our luggage. The lounge looked into treetop canopy and the kitchen was modern and bright. The apartment was very tastefully presented. Seperate toilet to the bathroom which had a shower over the bath. Host was accepting of feedback.

United KingdomDidn’t feel very homely. Very basic provisions. Only 2 cups, glasses plates etc and cutlery of a poor quality. Although flat is for 2 people we were visiting friends and couldn’t have had them in for a meal or drink. Strange that there is a dining table with seating for 6 people but no crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils to enable feeding more than 2. Would have been good to have had a cafetière to make coffee and more than 1 small vegetable knife for preparing food and cutting bread etc. Flat was damp and towels and bedding felt damp in the morning. There was also a problem with the communal front door and key wouldn’t work. Had to buzz other flats to get in.
Location was great. Very easy access to walk to shops, restaurants and cafes

CanadaCould have been a teeny bit cleaner. Didnt bother me as a single guy but it would bother most gals. Also particulars should say no soap/shampoo. Again I don’t care but I was unprepared as usually it is present.
Location. Access

United KingdomWe needed a last-minute place to stay in central TW and must admit were a little hesitant after reading some of the previous comments but couldn’t have had a more pleasant stay! The flat was clean, comfortable, and spacious with beautiful original features that gave it real character. The location is fantastic – close to everything but tucked away at the back of the property so it’s peaceful and quiet. We were blessed with sunny weather and the views from outside the building are absolutely stunning. We found Sarah (the host) to be super friendly and helpful - she gave us great local recommendations (the Beacon is fab), parking tips, arranged a late check out for us and even organised a complimentary bottle of fizz as a thank you for allowing a very quick viewing during our stay which we thought was a lovely gesture. Can only assume things have been updated recently as we had zero issues with access or plumbing and found the kitchen to be sufficiently equipped. We’d happily stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.

United KingdomUnsatisfactory. We dropped bags off with the cleaner at lunchtime as arranged - so far so good - but that afternoon got a phone call announcing that we could not stay because of a plumbing problem in the flat. It is clear from reviews that another guest had had a similar experience shortly before, suggesting plumbing issues in the property going unresolved. The alternative accommodation the landlady booked us into was one with a low customer satisfaction score that we had rejected when booking 12 weeks previously. Dynamic pricing meant it would then have been over £50 cheaper than the roll-up price paid by the landlady. The landlady declined to engage in discussions about pricing, soon defaulting to leaving texts unanswered. It seems we are expected to carry the can for a failure at her end by being left with two fruitless walks to and from her property; having to accept alternative accommodation with a 3.1 satisfaction score; and being charged by her (according to our calculations) £58 more for it than we would have paid had we chosen it earlier when booking. Beware!

United KingdomA few more kitchen utensils would have been good. A small cafetière would have been nice but this didn’t affect our stay as lots of coffee shops nearby!
Great location, close to centre and The Pantiles. Spotlessly clean and spacious. Beautiful decor and very comfortable. Would definitely return.
