The location was perfect, the view was amazing and the barn was very well equipped. We used Thornmoor Barn as an overnight stay on our way down to Cornwall and will definitely be back after our great first visit.

Brilliant place, brilliant location, great hosts very friendly, dog friendly, Use of the field to exercise the dogs. Quiet peaceful, relaxing, clean, lovely location. Wifi is not good but seriously if you need WiFi in this beautiful part of the world, then stay in your town. The views and location are superb.

Loved this cottage 😀. A welcome basket of milk tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits on arrival. Spacious, well laid out. GORGEOUS views from the dinner table across the Tamar Valley and a lovely woodland garden for the dogs to sniff around (very welcome in this hot weather). Will definitely be staying again. Hosts also friendly and knowledgeable about the local area.

Would have benefited from outdoor seating, a bench maybe, round the back. It didn’t detract from my stay because of the nature of my visit.

Lovely simple lay-out. Everything was clean and well-organised. The views were delightful and it was peaceful. It ticked all my boxes. Additionally, the family letting the property were super friendly. Very grateful to have stayed here.

The Barn has been beautifully converted and is comfortable, well equipped and has everything you could need. The hosts are lovely. The location is terrific. The facilities are very good. The Barn is maintained to a high standard and is perfectly clean. The bed is comfortable. Everything was excellent. Additionally, what I appreciated was that the bedding and furnishings are synthetic, hence no animal products are used. I would definitely stay again.

This conversion was amazing. So roomy and extremely comfortable. With the double glazing, there was no need to use the wood burner. The views are a delight. We wished we could have stayed longer. The eggs were so fresh.

Lovely barn to stay with your dog. Across the road you have access to walk your dog. Clean and it was pleasure to stay here.

Have to be careful of the potholes in the surrounding roads. No Netflix or BBC iPlayer.

Comfortable and has all you need. Good base when vistng Devon and north Cornwall. Strawberry Fields Farm Shop nearby.

Lovely comfy and clean accommodation in a very quiet location. Stunning views across the moor. So nice to have a welcome basket with eggs milk tea coffee and biscuits. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

Whilst there wasn't any wifi, this wasn't a particular issue as we were only there 1 night however, anyone staying for a protracted length of time might find this a challenge.

Firstly, I had to change the date but the owners were extremely accommodating - thank you! They gave us 'what 3 words' for directions which made the barn very easy to find. The barn was spotlessly clean and the facilities were lovely, modern kitchen with everything you needed including kitchen towel, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid, tea towels, salt and pepper and cooking oil - things that are easily forgotten. Plus, there were some extras! Eggs and milk, tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits, very much appreciated. The views from the dining table and bedroom were fabulous and we loved the wood burner.

Spacious stay in a lovely quiet location with a field opposite to walk the dog!! Fresh eggs from the pet chickens and dog treats (for the dog) were an added bonus !!

All was to a very high level. My only observation was the shower, whilst sufficient, would benefit from more power and a bigger shower head. Probably as it’s only an electric shower and not a mains fed one.

Great location. Well laid out. Warm and peaceful. Nice touches with fresh farm eggs and milk.
