Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomVery noisy. Other rooms (below) come in at 2am and talk, bang doors for at least an hour!.. changeover clean very noisy from early in morning - doors banging and loud noise. The rooms/building has no soundproofing such a shame. Otherwise, I would have no complaints, but it is a huge problem.
Everything nothing not to like. Very comfortable

United KingdomNothing we disliked really, but a couple of things to bear in mind: attic room so obviously it gets very hot. No air con, fan is provided. Also, several flights of rather steep stairs. Again not an issue for us but not for somebody with mobility issues, there are other rooms on lower floors.
Amazing location, room cosy and with everything you need, huge bathroom with massive shower cabin; staff friendly and available.Very good price , clean and tidy. Large comfy bed. Kettle and biscuits provided. There is a fridge which is super handy. Beautiful seaview from little window. Our special request was easily accommodated.

United KingdomThe bed wasn't comfortable. The location by the sea, but the room's window on the side of busy and noisy at night road. So, I'm not used to it and couldn't sleep all night long.

United KingdomSome of the younger girls needed to work on customer service, extremely small sinks, tea/coffee/cups and milk needed daily replenishing. Lack of towels provided- one big each and one small which had to be used as a bath mat and hand towel. Some small details in the decor, complicating shower and toilet seat needed attending too.
The room was extremely clean and very comfortable. Even though it is next to/above a fast food restaurant, you couldn't even tell. Great location, right by my favourite part, old town and the sea front. Even though it's in a busy location, it is still extremely quiet. We were kindly provided with a fan that made a huge difference. Mostly friendly staff and when there was a problem, help was offered at the earliest convenience.

United KingdomThere were loads of stairs to go up, the sink was a little on the small side and the ceilings were low, but it was at no fault of the staff/ owner. Please note, there is no lift so not suitable for anyone who requires a wheelchair or unable to walk up multiple flights of stairs
Really good location, tons of activities nearby, right on the coast (although you have to walk about 15 to get to the first dog friendly beach). The room itself was clean and the bed was soft. From the window you can see the play area/ sea front.

United KingdomThe location was great, and the bed was very comfortable. However, the room wasn’t very clean—I had to clean it myself. Despite that, I’ve stayed here three times and even recommended it to friends, who booked twice. One issue is that the door and key don’t work very well. I have a disability and had to rely on my ex-partner every time just to open the door. This past Saturday, I called last minute to see if there were any available rooms, as the property appeared fully booked. I ended up making a booking outside of Booking.com. Unfortunately, when I tried to follow up, my contact didn’t answer the phone, and I couldn’t go through with the trip. The return train from London was £110, which I couldn’t afford. Due to my disability, I planned to travel with my friend car bout they never picked the phone the day before and in the day of the travel, I need companion all the times. I contacted the property to explain the situation. I spoke with a man who said he wasn’t the owner but would reach out to them. He later told me that I should have canceled at least 24 hours in advance. But since the booking wasn’t made through any official system and the room was given away anyway, I felt that a bit of flexibility could have been shown. I didn’t ask for a refund—I simply asked if I could use the room another time. I even offered to pay extra for the inconvenience and said I’d book an additional day on a future stay. Despite this, they kept the money. It wasn’t processed through any booking system, and it’s unlikely they’ll pay tax on it. I didn’t cause any financial harm to them—they just kept the money in their pocket. Also, I’ve never said this before because I have a soft heart, but I feel I should now: the girls at the restaurant were very rude and, frankly, racist. It was disheartening. I felt all being very inhumane, specially for a full business that runs fully. Heartbreaking to see people are like this, but it's my fault too.
Great location. Great bed. Easy to access, not that easy with door. Close to where you wanna be.

United KingdomWas very small for the price! We have stayed in a beautiful studio appt attic room for 30 less on the West Hill. Which also included free parking. A cup of tea or coffee had been thrown on the wall behind bed/ bedside table to which was not pleasant.

United KingdomI booked an attic double bedroom for 2, with the sea view, All I got was a small bed big enough for one, by the wall, in a tiny room, with a side view of a ruined building and a car parked on the street, and hardly a sea view, The bathroom was OK. And the best of all, I got there first, so I told my date about how small the room was, she didn't want to stay there, so I had to pay over £80, to spend a night by myself, very very very disappointed, I want something done to satisfy me.
Nothing, at this place
