Stunning location, very quiet, with magnificent views. Very peaceful, with some wonderful walks nearby. The property was extensively equipped and comfortable.

The very well equipped kitchen would benefit from oil and vinegar for the guests and the showers from some shower gel.

The property is beautifully located and perfect for a weekend getaway away with friends (and a dog). Lovely hosts! We cooked and had all the utensils we needed. We were very comfortable.

Great peaceful location, beautiful views over the valley, thoughtfully and comfortably furnished, friendly host and some lovely (steep!) walks nearby. The games room was well furnished, though the table tennis table was broken when we went and the pool table was uneven, which was a bit disappointing. Some of the leaflets and menus could do with refreshing too. Overall the place was lovely and we'd be happy to book again if we decide to return to the area in the future.

Everything, the layout, the interior design, the log burner. We loved it here, everything was perfect for us on our mini break.

We really enjoyed the nature and comfy feeling the accommodation provided. Kate was really friendly and accomodating. Was so nice to arrive to a warm and well lit cottage. Being dog lovers it was great to spend some playfull time with Kate's friendly dogs.

There was nothing to dislike

When we booked this mini break, we wanted to get away from the summer crowds and that is exactly what we accomplished. The location was a revelation- an area of Wales we were not overly familiar with. It is stunning! The views from the cottage are outstanding. The area is blessed with mile after mile of pothole and traffic free roads and gorgeous views round every corner. The cottage itself is delightful. Every detail is perfect. It feels like you are living in the pages of a country lifestyle magazine! Also needs to be said that it is a great place to bring a dog- ours loved the resident canine companions. The slate and gravel paths around the property, as well as the slate flooring throughout the ground floor, make it perfect for reducing ‘muddy paw’ anxiety!

The layout of the property. The ‘conservatory’, the kitchen, living/dining, the mezzanine and bedroom were all very well suited to purpose. The garden was a delight and the view from the front was stunning. Diolch am benwythnos hyfryd yn Llanwrtyd.

Welcoming host, gave us a lot of information on things to do locally and a bit further. Welcome tray with some goods. Loads of books and games in the barn to play. Pool was a nice plus.

There was nothing that could be improved. It was just incredible.

Everything! The cottage, the hosts, the location, the views! All was perfection. I doubt we could have found a more heavenly place to stay. We loved the dogs, the bird feeders outside the door with all the different birds visiting, the squirrels playing on the lawn, the fire burning on our arrival, the games room and the advice from Kate of places to see. I cannot help but wax lyrical about Swallow Farm, perfect!

Absolutely wonderful! Spacious, with everything and more you could wish for. We could even enjoy the rainy days as we played billiard and enjoying the evenings on comfy sofas and with the wood stove. Hosts and dogs and cat very friendly :-)

Very comfortable with a cottage feel.. with everything you need included. Clean and homely. Brilliant location with great walks on your doorstep. Our dogs loved the garden with the views of the countryside and sheep.

Nothing major. The property is dog friendly as long as your dog doesn't like to sleep with you or get on the sofa, which ours does at home, so it was a bit of a pain having to constantly be on top of her to make sure she didn't go where she shouldn't. But I can completely understand why that would be a rule with some dogs being huge and fond of rivers! Probably would make mention of this on the property description, or make it more prominent if it already is. Other than that, perfect!

Loved the quietness, the standard of finish in the property, the dogs, everything! Location was great, just far enough away from civilization to be secluded but not so far to be inconvenient. The barn itself was lovely, felt like a comfortable home rather than rental accommodation and the owners were very friendly and welcoming, but respected our space and privacy. The photos don't do this place justice either!
