Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Nothing ... everything was lovely.
Very warm welcome with a cup of tea. Tina and Amanda are both lovely ... nothing is too much trouble. The bed was comfortable with a large en suite. There was a fan for the warm weather and off street parking. We had a fantastic stay

Parking could be difficult but we were able to park off the road.
Absolutely loved the property and the room was lovely looking out across the hills and the well maintained garden. Looking forward to staying there in the future.

The breakfast was excellent, the cleanliness of the rooms and all the little extras and attention to detail. Both Amanda and Tina were excellent hosts and very accommodating. I absolutely loved my stay and will return.

Everything was great and exceeded our expectations.
Great location, we loved Swanage and the Haven Boutique. The hospitality was superb, really welcoming and friendly. The room was super clean, comfortable and good value for money. We stayed for two nights, slept well on both nights after seeing all the sights that Swanage had to offer. Would definitely recommend the Haven Boutique and will be staying again in the near future. All good
Everything was great! We had a lovely, stylish, comfortable room with scenic views to the ridge of the Purbeck Way . The room set up was perfect with an additional seating area and good tea and coffee facilities with a fridge and fresh milk. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful and really made us feel welcome. The breakfast had an excellent choice, fresh fruit salad, home made granola, yoghurts etc. as well as a great choice of cooked options, and was perfectly cooked. Really set us up for the day. The lounge area with a self-serve bar was an excellent idea - we were 2 couples staying together and this was perfect for a night cap. We didn't make use of the garden this time but it was a very pretty space with lots of seating.

Everything. What a fantastic find. Warm and friendly. Home from home. Everything we needed and more. Perfect for our honeymoon. Breakfast was amazing. Perfectly situated for the beach and the shops and bars. Rooms were modern and very comfortable. Greeted with a welcome drink and afterwards a sad goodbye as we really would have liked to stay longer. Don't hesitate to book this wonderful gem. We will definitely be back

Honestly cannot fault anything. Two ladies running the guest house were both so helpful and friendly. I am convinced that any issue I might have had would have been immediately resolved. As I mentioned there were no such issues.
What a very pleasant surprise to find such a stunning guest house. Everything about our stay was first class.

Mattress was very hard but that’s the only small negative
Loved everything about the property. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The honesty bar has everything you need and very reasonably priced. Tina and Amanda have created a beautiful welcoming place to visit and we will definitely be going back again in the future 5*

couldn't fault it.
I booked the guest house based on the other reviews and was not disappointed. The house is immaculate, spotlessly clean and new feeling, Tin and Amanda went out of their way to settle me in, make me at home and serve me an incredible breakfast. Such a better experience than a bigger hotel.
