There was nothing I didn’t like.

Good location and homely vibe. The room was small but very comfortable, clean and with a private bathroom. 3 flights of stairs to get to my room which was not an issue for me but may be difficult for people with mobility issues. The hosts were extremely kind, the lovely gentleman offered to give me a packed breakfast each morning as I was leaving before breakfast was served. This was a very kind touch and very much appreciated. He went out of his way to ensure my stay was comfortable and I was happy. My taxi driver even mentioned that he came out to check on me early (6.20am) on the day of departure even though I did not see him. I only briefly met the female host who was also kind and helpful. Good value for money and I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent breakfast in this charming old guest house. We got a cute small room at the very top of the stairs, probably originally the attic but we thought it as super cute and view out the dormer window of the river. This is what I love about traveling in the UK!

The bed was really small, but probably common for this area

Lovely old home, nice host, and walking distance to a few good restaurants and the high street

The bed was a bit too soft. And the toilet didn't flush properly.

The location is perfect for exploring the city. Cozy little place with a nice atmosphere. Nice to have the possibility for parking. The hosts were nice, kind and welcoming.

Excellent location near to the River Ness, well kept front garden and secure parking to the rear

Breakfast was OK, but felt a bit disjointed, with the options and the layout of the food. I was down for 0730 and the water from the dispenser for my coffee was not warm enough - I highlighted this to your member of staff to hopefully rectify for other guests. I sat at the single table nearest the door, the other single table was tucked away in the far corner of the room and was not appealing.

Excellent location near to the River Ness, well kept front garden and secure parking to the rear of the property. Pleasant and informative welcome Clean and comfortable room, if a bit dated and cramped - Room 6 in the attic - You really do need a "MIND YOUR HEAD" sign at the top of the stairs! Mention this in the guest book.

The bulb in the bedside lamp was blown (apologies I meant to say at breakfast). As in all houses of this era and age, the stairs is steep, i only had a small bag and help was offered though.

Great location, in the city. Loads of restaurants and bars close by. Comfy bed, nice shower. Single room is compact but comfy. Parking available using a back entrance. I used street parking as it was Sunday and I was leaving early Monday. Friendly check in and breakfast.

I notified the host of the shower holder that did not operate. I am sure it is fixed.

Beautiful B&B on the river in the center of town. Tight parking, but secured parking! Room is small, but has everything you need and is comfortable. The hosts are great and took care of any need that arose.

A most pleasant stay in a gorgeous location

On my first stay, I had room 6, which is right on the top floor. It's very small and the bed is under a sloping attic ceiling. There are a lot of steep stairs to get up there. If you have any mobility issues, you will struggle with these stairs. On my second stay, I had room 5, which is on the second floor and is bigger. The stairs were still a problem although not as bad as up to room 6 on the top floor. Both rooms could benefit from an update on furnishings, as they are a little dated. Having said that, the decor didn't detract from the comfort of the room. I also found the rooms to be a bit hot, as they're not air conditioned, and there's no fan. I couldn't open the windows to let in any fresh air.

The Talisker is in an excellent location on the banks of the Ness River. The view out over the river is beautiful. Murray and his daughter Fifi are most accommodating and will provide assistance to guests as much as possible. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The house is lovely, and the garden is pretty. I found my beds to be comfortable, and the water in the shower is nice and hot when you need it. There is a kettle with tea/coffee making supplies, and a hairdryer. There are also complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. The continental breakfast is well presented and there's plenty to eat. Fifi will make eggs to your preference. The guesthouse is within walking distance of the city centre. There's also a pedestrian bridge very close to the guesthouse which takes you over to the other side of the river. I took a couple of tours with Rabbie's and these leave from outside the Cathedral. Talisker is in a great spot to get there quickly.

Decor and furniture a little old fashioned - could do with a freshen up

Breakfast was a bit basic although I enjoyed what I ate. Room was small and the upper window was open in very windy weather and quite hard to reach to close. It didn't impact me much.

Helpful and friendly staff, assistance with parking, room with a view, everything essential provided in the room, location good for walks along the Ness or to reach pubs and food.

The parking was a bit tight given the narrow entrance, and it would have been useful to have a small shelf over the sink in the bathroom but these are very minor points.

Great location by the river. Very friendly staff, and the continental breakfast was nice too - toast and hot drinks made fresh for you, and a selection of meats/cheese/fruit/cereal/pastries/etc to help yourself to. I had no issues with the size of the room, it is small but still has everything you need including a fold-out table and chair.

My attic room was very compact; a single bed wedged under a sloping roof.

Great location by the river, close to the Infirmary Bridge - so the other side of the river could be easily accessed on foot. Only a 15 minute walk from the station. The property was immaculately presented, in a quiet riverside location and close to cafes & restaurants (in the city & riverside). Actual human management on premises.

The room was a little small but that didn't really detract as all I did was sleep in it. The bed was comfy and the shower, again a little small for me, but functional.

The location was excellent, a short walk from the station and right on the river. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very accommodating.

It's a bit noisy inside - you could hear upstairs people walking, there is some humming sounds at odd times late at night. Mattress is covered by plastic a wrapper, it gets really hot & sweaty (understand why they have it but there are more breathable options at the market).

Very nice location when you appreciate being close to a get away from town
