Definitely recommend the Tally Ho. Service was amazing, food was delicious & great value too. A group of us ate dinner and everyone was impressed. Drinks were also reasonably priced, jt was nice to go somewhere and not feel ripped off. The staff were super friendly, helpful and the room was just what we needed, the bed was very comfy and the shark fan was a bonus! Breakfast was also great.

A few little touches could make the rooms better - like a mirror about the bathroom sink and some form of ventilation in the room as the windows are painted shut.

It was in a quiet area which is why we booked it, staff were lovely very friendly and helpful, garden was very spacious and ideal for the weathet we had on our visit. Room had what was needed, comfy bed great shower, parking on street within distance of Inn, will visit again.

Extractor noise outside room( nice owner next morning apologised and explained it was to do with the cellar and he.d try to sort) noise didn.t disturb once window shut and may have gone off midnight . Disapointed at no breakfast avalable on OUR day- they plan to increase - but nice cafe , few mins . Parking unclear ,we found a spot in the very busy square .There aparently IS off rd parking - But we were told none by bar staff.We suggest you ring for " yard" directions .

Excellent accomodation, stayed the night for the Rum and Reggae party in the beer garden. Fantastic atmosphere and very friendly staff. Room is perfect for a single or couple or those traveling with a pet. Great stopover for the coast to coast cycle path. Highly recommend. Fantastic food also!

We didn't get our breakfast which we paid for on Sunday before we left as couldnt get access to the bar or restaurant an no staff contact so we left a 9.30 as had to travel.

The room wasn't ready for us but the staff were very apologetic and provided us with a bottle of wine to relax and enjoy whilst they rectified the situation and we had our evening meal . Food was absolutely amazing

Didn't have breakfast as they had no chef so left in the morning on our own and found a local cafe. It was no problem and pub left us with keys and gate code to sort ourselves out.

Friendly, welcoming pub that went out of their way to serve us despite having a party of 32 people in for Christmas meals. Good atmosphere, excellent selection of local and national beers both keg and cask.

When staying multiple days, would have been nice for tea and coffee facilities to be refreshed. Also fire sensor in Hall was beeping all night (similar to a low battery on a smoke alarm)

Poor poor wifi. WiFi does not work. Not ideal when you’re travelling for work. No plug sockets by the bed. 1 sStaff member was rude when I came in trying to check in… No hello, no eye contact. No “follow me this way”. As a young solo female traveller travelling for work she really did not make me feel comfortable which was a huge shame. (I did meet lovely staff later in the evening there)

This is an old building and appreciate that things can be difficult such as WiFi etc. However the room lacked something, it felt unloved. Plug points were an issue for charging up devices.
