Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomStairs were awkward but manageable. Lack of recycling facilities, especially food waste.
Access to the Common at the rear of the property. Close to shops, pubs and other amenities. Bus stop close by. Great location for the local area.

United KingdomLovely cottage, lovely location but the big negative for us was the stairs? You couldn't fault the house for fixtures and fitting, every thing was provided to make your holiday comfortable. However with bedrooms upstairs and bathroom downstairs you can't ignore the stairs multiple times a day. The stairs are steep, with small treads and unsuitable handrail makes up and down very physically challenging. So if you have any mobility issues or young children then perhaps give this rental a miss? Rear Garden was good with gated access to common land and footpath to centre of Corfe. However the moles have taken over the large rear garden lawn area making it less enjoyable to use.

United KingdomLiked the location, comfy living room & large back garden leading out onto the common. Only major downside was having the bathroom downstairs and bedrooms upstairs so having to negotiate steep narrow staircase to get to/from bathroom at night.

United KingdomThe downstairs toilet was a bit of an inconvenience at night. Some instructions on how to work the oven would have been useful (we got there in the end 😃)
Great location, easy to walk to the village and opposite a lovely pub. The beds were really comfortable and we all slept really well. The kitchen had everything we needed and the cottage was beautifully clean. The garden was HUGE and had lovely views.

United KingdomUnfortunately, as the cottage is on a busy road, when sitting in the living room in the evening, it is very noisy, which cant be helped, however there are big gaps around the front door which let in the noise and some drafts. Some draft insulation around the door and a heavy curtain across the front door would be ideal. The traffic quietens down after 11pm and we always got a good nights sleep. The 'welcome' folder wasn't found until we had been there two days, It had been put on the bottom shelf of the bookshelf behind the dining room table...suggestion would be to leave it on the coffee table. Heated towel rail in the bathroom didn't work but the electric heater soon warmed the room up.
The beds were super comfy...had the most amazing nights sleep. Lovely hot shower. The cottage had a cosy feel and once the heating was on it was very warm. Although on a busy road it was just a short walk into the village. The cottage was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed. By the end of the week, it felt like home and we were sad to leave.

United KingdomThe key-safe took several attempts to open. The stairs required care owing to their steepness and would not be suitable for anyone with impaired mobility or balance.
The location was perfect. A bus-stop close to the front door, the centre of the town close by and the back garden leading onto the common with a network of paths.

United KingdomThere was no freezer which was a bit awkward being as we had taken frozen food with us. Although the fridge worked well and there was a small freezer compartment. The toilet/bathroom door did not lock and the rental company changed the handle but unfortunately it still did not lock. Also toilet paper did not flush from the pan. The rental company were aware and planned to rectify these minor issues. Don,t let this put you off booking.
Location was great with plenty of places to eat and drink. Charming village which we had visited before. property was great apart from a few niggles which didnt spoil our stay (see below)
