We liked everything.

The hut was beautiful. It had all the charm of a 19th century horse-pulled caravan but all the practicality of a 21st century overnight stay. It is a credit to the design of the hut that so many things could fit comfortably in so small a space. Our hostess was lovely and responded quickly and helpfully to any questions and the children had a wonderful time playing with Evie the dog. Being able to request steaks and pizzas to cook in the garden was a nice touch too.

The location and set up of the hut was amazing. In its own private garden, we could have been miles away from anywhere!

The shepherd's hut and location were amazing. Hosts were so friendly and helpful. We had a great 2 nights, loved the pizza oven and outdoor area, everywhere was so clean and tidy. My 2 kids loved the farm to.

Not a single thing we did not like 👍🏻

This was our 3rd stay at the hut now, so I think it’s safe to say we love it here. The love and attention given to every inch of the hut is fantastic… it has everything you could possibly need for a break away and more. The owners have really made use of every part of the hut and it is so lovely to spent time here. The outside space is brilliant, especially if you have children with garden toys to play with. The owners dog Evie will come to pay you visit if you wish, she is so lovely and plays so nicely with the children, she is always welcome when we visit. The pizza oven was great and Catriona will prep all you need to create your pizzas for a small charge, the kids loved it. And we did s’mores on the fire pit one night and in the hut the other so it’s perfect for all weather situations. Catriona also invited the children to collect eggs from the chickens which was great fun. All in all there is nothing we don’t enjoy here, the huts space inside is ample with a generous bathroom space too and games to play inside if it is rainy. During our stay if there was anything we needed Catriona and her husband are always more than happy to help. Thanks for our stay and we will be back again soon.

Beautiful hut. Everything you need for a peaceful, relaxing stay. Hosts are lovely and have thought of everything. The setting is absolutely gorgeous. Lovely local walks and country pubs.

Second visit. It won’t be my last. Beautifully-constructed ‘shepherds hut’ in a tranquil location, surrounded by stunning countryside. The owners Catriona and her husband could not have been more helpful-they are a delightful couple and have created a gem here.

Beautiful, high quality, little hut with every detail covered. The perfect place to relax. The large garden with covered outside eating area was perfect. The garden has the sun all day and evening. We used it as a base for walking and took advantage of the delicious local food available to buy from our hosts.

Everything was genuinely wonderful for us.

Excellent communication with host, I only booked quite last minute but had quickly received messages from the host connecting about my ETA, whether I'd like to add on a breakfast hamper, or food for the evening (local steaks or pizza making ingredients for the pizza oven). The hut was in its own little gated secluded area just off from the farm yard with gravel drive and lovely grass area. The inside was beautifully decorated with an excellently equipped kitchen, with lovely touches like fresh milk, butter and jam in the fridge. There were little tractor toys and swings for kids to play with outside and a basket inside with games to play too which my son loved. Just a lovely peaceful stay. Thank you so much for having us.

Amazing communication and help from the owner before and during the stay. Beautiful property with own enclosed garden so I could let my dog out (with supervision). Lovely and warm even in January with the wood burning stove. Beautiful and well equipped inside the property.

We had the most wonderful stay at Catriona and Alec’s beautiful shepherds hut with our newborn. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to spend his first trip away! Everything was perfect- the beautiful hut (built by Alec!), the superb and huge breakfast and burgers, and the stunning location. Thank you both! We hope to be back one day.

What a wonderful experience. My first time in a 'shepherd's hut' and I am a convert. Superb accommodation of the highest quality in a fabulous location. I shall endeavour to return.
