There isn't a kitchen tap in the kitchen area I think there could have been bottles of water in the fridge as the only water source is in the bathroom.

The facilities were clean and well-maintained. The owner was communicative and available when needed. Access to the facility was straightforward and guidance was provided. If you need a relaxing and calm area for your stay, I would recommend "The Anchor".

This is self catering. A superb communal kitchen is available to guests as was excellent coffee, tea & milk in our room. Truly worth a visit a quiet location with easy access to local pub which sells hot meals, and a superb Indian restaurant. Chinese Fish & chips also on offer. This is our second visit and will be booking again. Comfortable bed, bedding and Lots of freebies in the bathroom all of which are of a high quality. Host charming and eager to assist

Location a bit remote but perfect for where I had to go. Only self check-in, I never saw anyone. Nice, modern and big kitchen to cater yourself.

No restaurants or pubs within walking distance - you need a car to get into town as the property is located on a country road that is poorly lit. The sign is not lit and there is no signage on the building itself so we nearly missed it.

The suites were nicely finished, warm, and comfortable. The location directly beside the river made for beautiful views and walks right out the front door. The shared kitchen was fully equipped and a lovely place to enjoy a meal and a few drinks. The security system is excellent, plenty of parking. The staff were welcoming and proactive.

The setting is so peaceful and beautiful. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We slept well, woke refreshed, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner was communicative and willing to meet our every need even though they were abroad at the time. We would definitely recommend the anchor to anyone.

The amount of space in the suite was great- lounge, bathroom and separate bedroom. Large modern shared fitted kitchen. The decor throughout was excellent and the communication from the owner was timely and helpful. Beautiful setting by the river, we will definitely be back when we return to the area.

Its a shame we did not realise that there was nowhere on site to eat but there is a shop locally and the facilities at place were excellent.

Everything about this place was excellent but the comfort of the bed needs a special mention as does the good size bath.

I liked everything but would like to suggest a food waste/composter bin and a clothes line for drying laundry. The front door doesn't close easily due to weather related swelling. Other guests left the front door unsecured and did not put away dishes after use - not a big deal but it would be nice if others were more mindful.

Modern accommodation within an old Inn. Spacious, quiet, very well equipped, responsive remote support. Comfy beds. Great shower. Awesome fully kitted out shared kitchen. The Anchor far exceeded my expectations. It will be my go to place to stay in the area.
