Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe property needs a lot of TLC, all the floors throughout the property need attention, the beds all soft, basic but adequate but could be beautiful with some TLC, the trees/bushes in the front garden need serious cutting back as losing the amazing views before too much longer. The parking was better on the main road at the bottom of the bank.
The views were beautiful

United KingdomCould do with some refurbishment. Wardrobe and shower screen doors broken and a few drawer knobs came off in our hands. Couldn't get wifi as the info provided didn't match the networks available (in fairness we didn't raise this with the host and I'm sure he would have sorted it). Would be good to give some warning of how steep the hill leading to the house is as many people would struggle. Also found it quite hard to find as the road name isn't marked.
The property has beautiful views and was clean and uncluttered; there was plenty of room for us all. The host got back to us very quickly when we asked for help finding something. Basic but had everything we needed and is in a really good location. You can easily walk to shops, rail station and other local amenities and it's a very short drive from local attractions.

United KingdomIt can get very cold and wish we brought a blanket. However, the heating worked fine once it had warmed the house. Also, need to be careful on the stairs. Both inside and out are very steep, which obviously can't be helped, but someone with mobility issues may struggle. Host left great instructions and responded well though so not really a negative but something to note.
Great place to stay for the weekend, had everything we needed, and enough space for the 6 of us. Location was perfect for us, as our main reason for the trip was to climb Snowdon, which was about 30 mins away.

United KingdomWe messaged the owner as we were having issues with the WiFi but he never got back to us. Luckily after the first day, we sussed that in finding the WiFi password at the back of the box, I’d moved it unintentionally and the wire connection is a bit hit and miss, so after some fiddling of the box and plug connections, it then stayed on. Box for hairdryer in the double bedroom but no hairdryer! And I did look everywhere for it, but presume someone previously has nicked it. Luckily I’d brought some dry shampoo and we were only there a couple of days, else it would have been an issue lol. Certain areas looking a bit tired, such as shower doors which don’t close properly.
Downstairs space really good and comfy sofas to sit and unwind after a day’s exploring. Dishwasher with tablets available which meant we didn’t have to spend time washing up 😄 Upstairs area adequate. We found the bed (double) quite comfy actually, even though others have previously complained. Great walks right outside the door. Just turn left out the property and there’s a path. Lovely views from the front garden. Good communication prior to the visit and front door key was easy to access.

Czech RepublicDifficult parking, it is better not to drive directly to the house - a very steep hill. The equipment of the house is very simple, but sufficient.
Excellent location, close to the city - shops and restaurants, railway station, mine, nice view. It was advised that there was no WiFi in the house, but it was and worked great, including the TV.

United KingdomStairs very steep with wobbly hand rail - slippery slate steps to get up to the property would not advise if you have mobility problems. Bobbly bedsheets, some issues with housekeeping which were reported to the owner who contracts cleaners for the property.
Perfect size for us and the open plan lounge was spacious, large bathroom with powerful shower. Front garden nice in the morning. Great WiFi parking and issue. Easy walking distance to the pub etc.

United KingdomA very stip hill to the cottage but we found an,alternative route. Unfortunately, somebody left their car on the driveway to the cottage so we couldn't stop in front of the house to unload the luggages. We had to park the cars at some distance and make a few journeys from the cars to the house. The heating was not on all the time and we didn't have access to the thermostat. However, we had an extra electric heater which we used.
I was impressed by the fact that the heating was on when we arrived after 6 hours journey. We also had a nice Christmas tree with lights on. Comfortable beds, a big bathroom, a very nice living room with character.

United Kingdom1. Very steep hill and no parking despite being told we could park outside the cottage, however we were pre warned by the host about the hill 2.Walkway has no lighting and in icing conditions was treacherous, garden was unkempt 3. Wood burner, is not connected and in need of repair, shame it wasn't available for use. 4. Kitchen appliances whilst very clean , were in need of maintenance, cooker display does not work old fridge under counter whilst a new fridge is also available, very blunt knives .There's a door in the kitchen that is held closed by a bolt that is drafty and when opened led to a room of rubbish. 5. Double bed in main room in need of repair , supports under the bed are in need of repair. Various cracks, mould around the property in need of repair. One bedroom has plastic concertina door leading directly to the creepy attic where according the the guest book a ghost lives 😃
The stunning view and friendly local village. Large TV with streaming capabilities and internet available. Guest book full of ghost stories was entertaining. Great location for local actives and hikes. Good heating the cottage was lovely and warm

United KingdomHole in the master bedroom wall, leaking tap in the kitchen. Some damaged ceiling in the next bedroom, damp on the ceiling in the bathroom, attic doors located in one of the bedrooms (attic not finished, plenty of material and tools lying around). Overall the place was dirty in some areas, the kitchen needs upgrading as well as all kitchenware. The fridge is on its last breath. Beds were on, however the state of the bedrooms should be better. Even though it is a beautiful location I would not stay again.
The only thing that was exceptional was the location, however it is a very steep hill to drive up to the property. Plenty of walking trails around and great views.

United KingdomThe property lacked any character. Unfortunately the kitchen was poorly equipped there were light bulbs missing (including from the upstairs landing, kinda important), there was only one roll of toilet paper - we had to buy more, only 3 beds we're made - we had additional guests and asked for extra bedding which didn't arrive until the following evening, and some of the mattresses we're definitely due an upgrade. All in all it was a bit disappointing. We were in town for a friend's wedding and many other friends were staying in other holiday lets, so we had plenty of comparison! It was essentially somewhere to sleep, little more and in that it served it's purpose moderately well.
It was walking distance to our friend's farm where her wedding was taking place.
