The sofabed is not good for sleeping. Not comfortable for two people. It was not made up although i have mentioned that there are two couples coming (husbands and wives) We have to figure out the setting up and make up our own bed and look for beddings ourselves. In the end we have to place the mattress on the floor to sleep to avoid back pain. So one couple have the room and the other slept on the mattress in the TV area.

The full address was not shown on emails so it was not too easy to find. Likewise the parking space was not the easiest to find. Steps up to both the lounge, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen could be tricky especially with low doorways

Stairwell very challenging especially if you have heavy luggage. No clothes airer for when you wash your clothes. Parking allocation is only for a small car… not any bigger. Water leakage under the front door when it rains, entrance becomes very wet and this results in a musty smell. In description of property it needs to be said in had split levels and low doorways.

Some kitchen items were missing ( any dish to use in microwave) or faulty ( kettle) on arrival. These were quickly replaced. Only wardrobe was stuffed full of spare quilts/bedding for sofa bed - nowhere left to hang any clothes. Although technically on a single level in actual fact each room was slightly different level so need to use 1 to4 steps between rooms which were tricky at night. Interior doorways very low because of raised floor level. Stated private parking space was not lockable as promised and was awkwardly arranged.

Location ideal in centre of Stow on the Wold . Plenty big enough for two. Very clean. Plenty of drawer space throughout. Quiet location for town centre. Furnishings mainly looked relatively recent .

Low doorways - tassels in doorways would have been useful to help avoid collisions. Could have done with more clothes storage space- wardrobe was already filled with bedding. No cafetière provided. Crockery was not suitable for putting in microwave so some dishes that were m/wave safe would be useful. Car space was very small, no use for anything other than a small car.

Location was good; close to amenities. Quiet at night. Plenty of natural light from windows on both sides. Shower was very good.

The very narrow uneven staircase leading to the apt. was difficult to manage-no hand rail and exceptionally narrow, particularly trying to get bags up. The place was charming but one had to be aware of the very low door openings and uneven entrance to bedroom.

The location was phenomenal, spacious lodging, exceptionally clean and the heating was excellent in this cold wet winter.

The space of hallway downstairs was crowded; the stair going upstairs to the house was very steep and felt a bit dangerous. It would be much better if a pair of railings are installed.

The location is very nice - near to the town centre (Market Square), convenient access to shops, restaurants, bus stations, etc. The environment and surroundings are great. The house was warm and comfortable, just like home.

All the small details were missing. I confirmed twice before arrival that the sofabed would be set up and it wasn't, so we had to spend time arranging this when we got to the property. The strict check-in time of 4pm is very late so we had to wait on a rainy day until this time and then wait another hour for the sheets to be organised for the sofa bed. 3 adults were allocated 2 toilet rolls for 3 nights, there are no coffee pods for the coffee machine (if not planning to supply, remove machine?). No bathroom essentials (eg body wash, shampoo) are supplied which are an easy thing to improve the quality of the stay. The instructions to get to the property are unclear and excessively long and seemed generic for all properties supplied

Slight mould and damp in the entrance. Directions need updating, as there is no clothing shop below. Directions to the parking space were difficult to find. It would be better to have the picture in the welcome pack that is emailed before the stay, rather than just in the apartment.

Comfy bed, great bathroom and shower. Plenty of room for the three us. Fantastic location, friendly staff on the phone and lovely little town. We would love to stay again soon!

Stairs to apartment needed a hand rail. Steps in the apartment were different heights, making it difficult for some members of our party. Car parking was a distance from apartment, again a problem for some of our party.

The apartment is simply amazing and so characteristic, we often found people taking pics out of the door. Also inside is so charming but with all amenities and comforts. The host also need a mention, I forgot my ipad in the properties and after they found it, they organized to get it back to me.

While the location and flat itself were charming, poor management makes this was a very mixed bag. The entry to the flat has been flooded for months (looking back through the guest book) with the flooring soaking wet and significant smell of mold. There was also mold growing on the bathroom ceiling and shower. This makes the location unhealthy and potentially dangerous for guests with asthma. In addition, instead of providing an address, the directions to both the flat and parking spot (which are in separate locations) are provided in a long descriptive paragraph which refers to two businesses that have long ago closed and been replaced with other businesses. The emailed instructions and written instructions are even different, with the instructions inside the flat saying it is the 5th spot and the email saying the 6th spot. Photos and a map including with the booking reminders are a simple solution used by other locations with tricky locations--I have no idea why that is not being used to better the experience of guests. When I checked in with local shops to see if they knew which parking spot the flat was assigned, they were unable to answer except to tell me two spots that had recently been parked in incorrectly by equally confused guests.

Adorable cottage with fantastic location in Stow-on-the-Wold. Enjoyable kitchen space and pleasantly surprising amount of lighting for an old building. Low doorways and some uneven flooring as to be expected with a historic apartment add to the charm but could be a hazard for younger or older guests.
