Leaving after four lovely days in the area.

Central position. Good parking. Excellent breakfast. Lovely staff. Clean rooms. Well serviced. Little extras such as heated towel rail, fan, heater, blankets, ironing board and iron. Didn’t need any of them but they were there in case! Plentiful tea, coffee, water, biscuits provided. No lift but always advised that help with cases was available. It’s an old inn with character. Busy with locals during day, afternoon and evening. Always a good sign.

Breakfast was a bit old school and could be betterEg proper coffee and fresh orange juice. Although the lady serving it was lovely! Felt a bit understaffed- we had to wait a while as check in desk was unmanned.

The breakfast choices were excellent, the staff were friendly and very accommodating. The hotel is a lovely old building with original features.

The initial room we were allocated was in very poor condition. The headboards on the beds were stained and dirty. The room was not particularly clean and depressing. We complained and the staff were very helpful and managed to find another room that had been refurbished which was fine.

The staff were great, the food was excellent with good vegetarian options.

Only thing that didn’t work for me was the Wi-Fi which probably needs looking at. Obviously a third party provider but it wouldn’t allow registration.

Great location on the square in Devizes. Staff were really helpful and the food was very nice. Room was basic but clean and tidy. Similarly the bathroom was basic but it was clean and the shower worked well. Free parking round the back a really bonus too! For a single Friday night it was cheaper than the local Travelodge AND included breakfast so very pleased.

Very old decor but part of the charm. Everything shuts down on a Sunday afternoon no food after 4 and areas cordoned off at night.

Excellent location and what a fantastic old building full of character if only the walls could tell their story! Breakfast was lovely and included in the room price. Free parking was a bonus with plenty of spaces but remember to register at reception.

My wife and I had a room overlooking the Main Street. We sleep with the windows open and there was a lot of street noise and talking. But you cannot blame the hotel for this.

From the moment we checked to the moment we checked out the staff were warm and greeting. Such a friendly atmosphere eight of us were made to feel welcome. The building is old this only adds to the atmosphere. Creaking floor boards etc. Food was excellent and well priced. Would we stay again? Absolutely.

Mattress was hard. Shower was very hot and I couldn't work out how to cool it down, everything I was trying was making it hotter or turn off.

Great location in the heart of devizes. Hotel is steeped in history. Staff friendly & welcoming.

Room was tired and windows were old and single glazed so it was quite noisy from neighbouring pubs.

Good value for the price. Room had all the facilities we needed. Particularly loved the tea tray with biscuits and friendly staff. The cooked breakfast was yummy too and we appreciated the flexibility to serve us a little after 10 in the bar as we had done Parkrun.

Ideally situated in the middle of the town on the market square. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Given upgraded room which was a pleasant surprise. Well done Tim and team top marks.

No air conditioning. Very hot so window was fully open, the kitchen must have had a freezer problem so all I heard all day was the staff trying to defrost it in the courtyard right outside my window

Very centrally located, full of history and quirkiness. The accommodation was very comfortable and the staff were welcoming. We ate there in the evening and had a nice meal. Great value for money too.
