The property is set in a lovely rural location - very quiet and peaceful. The room was clean and tidy with the required amenities. Breakfast was good. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

If I was picky , there was no pet bowl or biscuits in the room for our dog, Im sure there was when we stayed before in April.

The comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and garden room for our dog was perfect, the breakfast was superb and perfect for our long drive ahead to Scotland..The staff where all very friendly, cant fault it....

The water pump(?) making a 5 sec loud growling noise every 20 mins or so throughout the night. Luckily I had some earplugs, but they didn't remove the noise entirely so a restless night on a very comfortable bed. Had it not been for that it would have been excellent all the way.

Lovely room, excellent food, great staff, beautiful countryside.

No, it was a very pleasant stay.

Well let's start by saying the welcome we received was friendly and helpful. We were in room 1 which was on the compact side but beautifully presented. The bed was large and comfy, the bathroom had both a shower and a bath , and there was plenty of hot water. We dined in the restaurant that evening and the food was delicious and the staff friendly. Breakfast the following morning had plenty of options and we were very happy with it.

Internet in the rooms have not improved since 2018! But we keep coming back as it doesn’t outweigh the good things. But it would be great if they could boost the signal or add a few repeaters in the rooms. Especially in the family room.

We’ve stayed many times and love this place. Rooms are great, very dog friendly, tasty food in the pub, and breakfast is super.

OK this isn't a "didn't like" this is an observation and hopefully helpful. DO NOT follow your Sat Nav. The surrounding roads are very narrow and bendy to say the least. Make sure your Sat Nav brings you to the Inn along Bowl Road The Hart Hill approach is dreadful. Bowl Rd is off the A252 Charring Hill road. Its quicker, shorter, wider and has regular pull ins . Don't be put off as the drive is so well worth while.

Absolute gem of an inn a little off the beaten track. A beautiful old charming building with large car park with large outside catering area. Inside is mix of old-world charm and a modern twist which works very well. We had a booked a balcony room overlooking fields and countryside, good choice. Can’t fault the room which exceptional. Beautifully furnished exposed beamed room which made the bed look 4 postered with a stylish bathroom with all the usual facilities you could want. The bed was very comfortable for a good night sleep. The Bar is nicely laid out and tastefully decorated. The night we stayed there was mix of guests and locals who were all very friendly. There is an expansive dining area which again is charming. We dined at the Inn, and the food was excellent, well cooked and presented. The menu was thoughtful with a great selection of starters and mains for every taste. Local produce was on offer, and our choices were perfect for us. In the morning the breakfast was pure quality again a good choice was available. What really was particularly excellent was the staff. Busy, helpful, engaging, knowledgeable and were genuinely interested in their customers. From reception to checkout and everything in between. As regular hotel and Inn users we cannot stress how much the staff added to experience. Wished we were staying longer and now trying to think of a good reason to go back sooner. I bet the Bowl Inn is wonderful at Christmas. I do write reviews not all of them good and sometimes good hotels leave me a bit stuck what to say. This is exceptional.

The bed was just a little hard, however we appreciate that's more about our bodies needing softness than a direct reflection on the stay!

The location was perfect, so quiet yet easily accessible to the local area. The room was just gorgeous and the staff were exceptional throughout the whole stay. Would definitely recommend.

Some tables tops in the restaurant were sticky. Not through neglect by the restaurant staff but by the type of varnish applied. Otherwise faultless.

Nothing about the property, or our stay, as everything was great. However if travelling east bound to The Bowl I would recommend driving a bit further to the roundabout and accessing via Bowl Road and not Hartwell Hill as the roads are so narrow and the drive along Bowl Road is flatter with more pull in points.

The team were so friendly, very helpful and nothing was too much for them. We stayed in a twin room, which was very comfortable and had everything we needed in it. Good tea tray with bottled water, biscuits and a variety of beverages topped up every day. We stayed for 3 nights and ate in the restaurant the first night and had Pizza from The Shack on the last night, both were excellent. The breakfast menu has so much choice, much more than I have ever seen in a small establishment, and very good quality products. My granddaughters choice was not listed as a specific menu option however they happily provided her with her with what she asked for.
