Only had a bacon butty for breakfast, was ok. Ordered some side orders on the day of arrival. Half of them went to another table, when asked if we was getting some more, as the other table ate them, waitress replied I'll have to ask. We eventually got some more

There was nothing we didn't like about the bowman, it was good value for money.

The bathroom door didn't close properly , that was the only problem we had, bed was very comfy, the pub was good.

The noise from the pub below was a bit much and also people walking through the cut through, but it was a Saturday night and once I’d shut the window it did drown out a bit of the noise

When I first arrived all I wanted was a hot shower and to unwind after a very cold and wet motorbike ride.the first room I was given was clean and presentable but unfortunately there was an issue with the shower,(a previous guest had knocked of a dial from a radiator which I think was what caused the issue, not the hotels fault as such) running it for 10mins there was no hot water at all, I went down to speak to the staff behind the bar and they checked the boiler room but no joy, so I was moved to another room, I’d paid for a single room and they upgraded me to a double, and yes the shower in the double room was more than adequate for my needs, I needed 3 showers before I’d even warmed up properly. No food available on site but there was a shop conveniently located directly opposite the hotel so I was able to go across and get some sandwiches to eat as I didn’t want to eat out elsewhere and also being able to get a cold beer and take it back to the room from the pub below the hotel was great, ideal location to park my motorbike bike though so wasn’t concerned about the safety of it through the night

Be prepared for bar noise and people sitting outside in good weather.For the money, it was good though.

I was a female travelling alone. No hassle from anyone. Left alone to enjoy a drink in the bar. Bed comfortable. Shower excellent. Friendly staff.

It is a very convenient location for visiting our son. There had been some refurbishment done on the corridor to the rooms which was needed and is lovely. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

My expectations were low but the booking had a bed and a shower . Arrived into the middle of a rock disco no worries as enjoyed the music. Was welcomed shown to my room and once through the door to the rooms , it was clear that there had been a recent refurb . It was clean and the carpet was new , room was a single but spacious enough and the shower had hot water and was easy to understand. Had a curry with friends off premises but returned for a couple of pints of well kept landlord afterwards. All in all a great stay with good value for money

No complaints. Above a pub, some noise but that's from outside, but it's stopped when the pub closes. No breakfast option (downstairs doesn't open until 11) but possible in the centre.

Convenient for local bus from station, there's a new Howden – Goole minibus (currently, you don't have to walk from the station) Staff friendly. Short walk to the centre & shops. Comfortable bed.

It didn't really bother me, as I zoned out reading my book, but the evening I stayed there was a band playing and it was quite noisy.

For me, the location was great as I was visiting family in Howden. If going to Howden by train be aware, it is quite a walk from the station along a mainly unlit country road. I was fortunate to be picked up by my son and taken to the hotel. At the hotel, the staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The room was well equipped with coffee and tea making facilities, toiletries, good quality bedding and towels and it was very clean.

The shower could be improved. It was fine for a quick wash but not great for washing hair. Better water pressure or a new shower attachment might help.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, and the on-site parking was also great.

Shower head didn't work well but had a bath. Bit noisy but it was Friday and Saturday. Extractor fan was more annoying actually.

Old pub with done up room. Very cosy and old fashioned in keeping with the pub. Comfy bed and had a bath cos the shower didn't work as well. For the price it was fair and nice little village to explore and recommended good eating places nearby, as not much on offer at the pub. Read the comments before booking as you get what you pay for.

Room located above pub toilets and could hear hand dryer every 2 minutes, pub license until midnight and with a warm night needing the window open hearing drunk people arguing/singing until 12:30am. Also TV was on the small side felt like watching an iPad on the wall.

Good value, staff were helpful despite pub being very busy for upcoming England match, bed extremely comfortable
