Even the weather was better than expected!

From before we arrived, the host contacted us to ensure we had everything we'd need for our trip. Gave us tips on visiting Belfast and the surrounding areas en route. The Cottage was beautifully presented, 10 minutes walk to the beach and the bars and restaurants in town. Margaret-Rose provided a welcome basket of snacks, drinks, maps and take out menus to get us started and was discretely available to answer any questions. The beds were comfy, the showers were hot and powerful, and the kitchen, dining area and lounge were perfectly appointed, with TVs in each room, and toiletries in each bathroom. Overall, a fantastic stay, and one we hope to repeat next year.

The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. It was ideal for my disabled in laws. Cushendall was a lovely wee village and the house wasn't far from the centre.

    Nothing. It was perfection!

Deceptively spacious cottage in the heart of Cushendall. Beautifully decorated and has everything you need. Beds are very comfy and house lovely and warm. Margaret-Rose is a wonderful host who left a very generous welcome pack. Would recommend and hope to stay again.

    Nothing, it was perfect.

The cottage is extremely clean, comfortable, warm, and inviting. There was a georgous hamper waiting for us with all the essentials. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We have stayed in numerous places along the north coast in recent years, and this is by far the best. Highly recommend.

The Captain’s Cottage was a beautiful renovated property, had everything you could possibly want plus extras. It was very clean, and the owners left us a lovely welcome basket of goodies. Well worth a visit as it’s located near some gorgeous beaches.

Amazing house, beautifully finished & had everything you could possibly need , the hosts also provided a lovely welcome hamper & fresh milk & water in the fridge . The property is central to cushendall and location close to beautiful Glenariffe & Cushendun . My grandmother was from there , however my friends had never been there and where overwhelmed by the gorgeous scenery, beautiful accommodation & really friendly folks in the shops, bars & restaurants- we will definitely be back.

    Having to leave

Excellent location, few minutes walk to beach, short walk to town centre and lovely street with on and off street parking. The facilities and decor were fabulous and so many extra touches and beautiful decorations including a crib, for Christmas. Great to have 1 ensuite as well aa main bathroom as we were two couples. Lovely cosy lounge as well as a seating area in the kitchen diner. Beds so comfortable could have stayed in them all day if there wasn't so much to see and do around the area. Clean, comfortable and spacious throughout. There was a little seating and dining area out the back too as well.as good size driveway and front garden. Hamper of goodies too on arrival. Absolutely wonderful, made the holiday for us.

The Cottage is superbly fitted out, was decorated beautifully for Christmas, and the whole atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. It was warm and comfortable and I couldn’t find any fault, either with the property or the hostess. Was , without doubt, the nicest place I have ever stayed.

Really top quality accommodation. You could stay a few nights or few weeks. Hamper on arrival and great communication. Cushendall is a beautiful large village with lots of heritage and a great beach (5 minute walk) but did by no means feel a tourist trap. Shop right next door plus larger store, pubs and cafes 5 to 10 minute walk away. Great facilities and everything you could need for a family stay. Large bathroom and one of the rooms has an ensuite. The master bedroom has an extremely large bed in it. Outdoor patio area with wooden burner as well. Probably the best feature is the large kitchen diner/ living area with utility but then added to this there is a separate, cosy living area. In summary, you can't go wrong with this place!
