Only comment was I found the mattress & pillow too hard, but that’s highly personal.

Very comfortable room, thoughtful attention to details - lovely hand wash & lots of coffee refills with kettle facility, lovely furnishings. Host was very efficient & attentive. Quiet surroundings.

We would have liked a food option.

There was no breakfast and I thought there was when I booked. I thought I was booking an hotel but it turned out to be an HMO, having changed recently.

I tried to alter my booking and rang the hotel several times over several days before arrival but there was no answer. I sent several messages through booking.com which were not answered. There was no explanation as to how the self check in worked except that we would be sent a key code on the check in day. We found the lack of communication quite stressful as we weren’t sure if we could get into the hotel if we arrived late in the evening. Their website said reception was open from 2 pm till 7 pm, but no one answered the phone when we rang.

Nice double room and shower. Comfortable bed.

Perfectly clean room,with very high quality furnishings.A fan was supplied due to it being very warm.Large parking space at the rear.Quiet neighbourhood with no traffic noise from our room.Very comfortable overnight stay,thank you.x

Nothin' really,I was just wanting some peace and comfort and a lazy day before traveling home early next morning. It's just a bit out of the way for the town. However, it's on a busy bus route,too far to walk in my humble opinion.

The room was huge,had a massive shower in the en suite,tea and coffee etc in the room.... Big comfy bed... Ticked all the boxes

I had problem with the shower, water went off few times so difficult to take a shower. Been offered to move rooms. Needs some upgrades as seems very old and damaged.

Very comfortable beds, in a large family room. Good location for our needs, and quiet peaceful setting. Loads of parking and easy self check in. I would definitely recommend it and stay again. The negatives were that Booking.com didn’t detail that the family room is on 2nd floor with no lift. There was no breakfast available (as far as I’m aware) and no fridge in the room. The shower was temperamental and the water pressure very low.

We did self check in so did not see any staff, there was no information in our room to say what time we had to check out or if we could purchase breakfast, an information sheet should be in the room.

Was really inexpensive when first operating as an HMO, paying under £60 for a double room with en-suite in the annexe. It's still decent value, but you've got to book early. You'll note there's now a price structure with similar rooms available at different prices, only so many are available at the cheapest price, and when they are gone, you'll need to pay more.

Get asked to rate this every time I stay. It's clean, comfortable, and good value for money. The location is good, and the new self check in makes it very easy to use. Fast WiFi is a big bonus too.

Nothing really my granddaughter hates the giant spider in the room, LOL

The rooms were lovely , spotlessly clean and plenty of space. A few bits missing ( e.g. tea spoons ), but got this from the staff. A real pleasure after spending a few days in a Travelodge. The continental breakfast was a surprise, but really nice. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

Bin in the room not emptied. We were told this is because it’s a HMO Status. That’s House in Multiple Occupation where the objective is to have long term guests who do the basic cooking and cleaning themselves. We weren’t bothered about this , we just treated it like an overnight hotel stay which was fine by the owner. The fact that we had to empty our own bin was not a problem.

Value for money. Best in barrow we could find, short walk/bus from the centre. Quiet , huge breakfast area with self service basic breakfast. Comfortable beds , clean , warm. Plenty of character in the main house.
