What did I like? The staff! Ravi, Emil, and everyone else associated with Davenford Cotswold Gardens were absolutely first- rate. If I could pick them up and transport them to every other booking on our holiday, I would. They were that good!

Not many dislikes to be honest but for us the mattress in room 5 was really soft and not very supportive and sinks in the middle - which was cosy for me and my 6ft 5 partner! We slept ok though - just not brilliantly.

Nicely appointed and in a great location - waking up to the smell of breakfast cooking was an added bonus! Nice touches of a greeting note and small basket of treats in the room as well as nice soft towels were very welcome. Breakfast itself was delicious! The staff were lovely and attentive.

8:30 to start ordering the breakfast was quite late for us, we would have liked starting our dayly trips earlier.

Lovely room in a lovely house with great location. Helpful and flexible staff, when we had problems they solved it asap.

Bed slats kept moving and lack of hot water

Mattress was lto soft and kind of sink into it. Shower is a simple mixture tap set up in the bath. Very difficult to control water temperature and goes from cold to scolding hot, also low pressure. This can be potentially very dangerous causing severe burns. Installation of electric shower would resolve.

Verry clean and tidy, ample supply of tea/coffee and milk. Nice little extras such as bottled water in room, picture frame with guest name inserted as a welcome. They realise and state as its an old building with no sound proofing, have provided earplugs but I didn't fell the need to use.

I think that the staff could have been a bit friendlier. Good service, but not very warm or welcoming.

Although we only stayed for one night, it was a lovely stay. The room was attractive and spacious, and a very comfortable bed (loved the bed). The bathroom was big and modern, with the only downside being that the window could not close - and it was cold. The steep narrow staircase reminded me of Amsterdam; a bit of a struggle to navigate with a suitcase! Really enjoyed the breakfast - a good selection of options, beautifully presented and fresh. Highly recommended.

The water pressure was low in the shower but didn’t spoil our stay.

The property was central to market square. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was particularly tasty.

There wasn't anything we didn't like but just need to be careful going down very steep stairs. As soon as you open the door of the room the stairs are right there and very steep but we found them ok. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

It was a lovely room just above a cafe. Bathroom was spectacular and room very comfortable with lots of treats too. Lovely area and nice pubs. It was so hot on the day we arrived so was very grateful for an oscillating stand up fan.

Hate to find fault of any kind, but found the bed a little too soft.

The location was excellent the couple running The guest house were lovely and friendly. The breakfast was very tasty.

It was a little warm. There was a fan, but it wasn’t super helpful.

Friendly staff, great bathroom, comfortable bed, GREAT food (Tea and breakfast)!! Also a fantastic location!!

Only one hand towel supplied for 2 people, we had 2 bath towels, complementary tray only on the first day. Plumbing was very noisy in room 4. Difficulty sleeping.

Breakfast very well cooked, bit haphazard to what we could order, normally you would have, cereals, full English, toast. Didn't know if cereals were included in price. On the last day we came down to breakfast for 8.30am to be told that breakfast not served until 9.

We were in room 5 so as you walk through our door to room 5 there’s a locked cupboard then a steep flight of stairs, however a few times it sounded like staff were at the bottom of the stairs and going in the cupboard which was abit unsettling although it could of just been the noise from the other rooms so I’m unsure but did scare me a little the thought of someone potentially being in there without us knowing, this was literally the only downfall everything else was perfect and would stay again

We stayed here for two nights on New Year’s Eve the place was very clean, staff very welcoming, lovely room and comfy bed and food was unreal, perfect location too

Was not sound proof at all but it is a quiet town and all buildings in the cotswolds are old so you won’t find one with sound proofing. The cafe music comes on at about 8:30am which is not a bad wake up call.

Great location, breakfast was great, staff were nice, room and bathroom are big.

The sound insulation was not good and so there was a fair amount of noise at night when other guests are moving around and the plumbing was loud.

The rooms were a good size and comfortable. The bathroom included a nice bath and shower Breakfast was lovely with good options The location was great and check in was easy.

We booked 2 rooms and they were both clean and comfortable. The property was right in the town centre and the breakfast that was included was amazing! Staff were also really helpful.
