Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe only small things to note is that the barn is reached via a narrow gravel lane, which might not be ideal for very low-profile cars, and the dressing gowns were a little on the small side (although that did provide plenty of entertainment watching my husband try to squeeze into his!).
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful little barn. Tucked away in a peaceful spot yet just minutes from the centre of Tunbridge Wells, it’s the perfect balance of quiet and convenience. The barn itself is stunning – thoughtfully designed with a contemporary finish and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a short stay. Stylish, comfortable, and full of charm – we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

United KingdomThe beautiful location & tranquility. Be mindful that access is down a farm track so if you have lower car then vere to the nearside of the track going down. A real countryside retreat but close to TWells, thanks.

NetherlandsThe cottage is best suited for two people. The sofa in the living room comfortably sleeps two but access to the bathroom and toilet is through the bedroom.
The house was comfortable and tastefully decorated. Inviting and warm. However, the real bonus for us was the spectacular rural location and seeing deer and a fox in the fields directly surrounding the cottage. Rural though very central: it is only a five minute drive to the centre of Tunbridge Wells

United KingdomVery clean and comfortable self catering accommodation. Only possible downside is that the toilet is off the bedroom , which would possibly not be ideal if two couples were staying as one couple would be on sofa bed in lounge .

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing!!! Couldn’t have asked for more.
It is just the most beautiful and stunning place. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere and yet you are only 20 mins walk into town or 5 mins from a lovely little pub. The whole place is beautifully decorated, the shower and bath and fantastic and to wake up in the morning with the sun flooding in and be able to sit and look over the fields was wonderful. Also at night being able to light the log burner and sit by a cozy fire whilst watching films on the huge comfy sofa was also a great end to a day. The bed is huge and super comfy and we slept so well. Also the owners were so accommodating and replied to any questions really quickly and were super helpful. We will definitely be returning again asap x

United KingdomHad such a nice stay, the property was located amongst stunning scenery and the barn was wonderful. Very clean with every desired amenity provided for. 2nd double bed was a very comfortable double mattress and didn’t feel like a sofa bed at all so don’t be put off by that. Felt very private and was perfect for a relaxing weekend away from the city.

AustraliaNothing really. Weber BBQ was a challenge being wood-burning but would have been ok had we had more time to prepare. Ended up cooking inside.
Thanks Caroline for a fantastic "shed". Really comfortable, large, well appointed and decorated with a great outlook to the countryside only minutes from centre of town. Would definitely stay again.

Such a beautiful location and the Cowshed was clean and well equipped. Everything you need for a lovely staycation. My 2 teenage sons and I loved our stay! We felt we were out in the country, yet still close to local places of interest and shops. Thank you 😊
