Bedroom was a bit tight on space for 2 people. It’s called a b&b but actually it’s self catering with a shared kitchen area. There are stairs to enter the property, which is on the first floor, fine for us but others may like to know.

Location was very central, bathroom was a very good size.

Said it would be a bit noisy but the Ibiza party at the adjacent King's Head started at 1pm and finished at 1am with music blasting. Couldn't beat them so joined them ;)

    Small but perfectly formed

Be aware the bedrooms back onto the neighbouring pub. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night. There is a fair amount of noise generated from said pub, which hosted an Ibiza style party on the Saturday from one 1pm to 1am. With music booming all day long. That said we slept really well probably due to a long journey from Scotland on the Friday and having being at a party ourselves on the Saturday.

The Cwtch B & B is located right in the middle of Chepstow, the directions given by the host a few days before our arrival made it easy to find. The rooms are basic but, clean and the bed was comfortable. There is a fully equipped kitchen and communal seating should you need it. Despite the noise I'd stay here again.

Next to a pub with thumping music till 2am. Got 4 hours sleep before setting off on the Offa's Dyke Trail - not ideal. If any of the other rooms in the proper lets their door shut on its own it makes a huge noise.

The only downside to the property is that the doors slam slightly at night due to being fire doors

The rooms were very clean and beds were made lovely, I also like the fact they provide ironing boards, fridge/freezer and offer to get anything you would need

Where it is located, the music was on from the afternoon when we arrived until 2 am. Also, it was such a hot day and night, and as the rooms are on the first floor with sky lights, it was so very, very hot.

    It was clean.

Music from pub nearby but it was a Saturday night and you are near to restaurants and pubs which is an advantage. Still a nice place to stay no parking outside but car park very close by.

Great location in the centre of town. Clean comfortable room. Also a very well equipped communal kitchen, comfy seating areas and tables and chairs. Easy access to the property.

Unfortunately the location is central but very noisy with the pub behind. It is above a chip shop. The extractor fan from the chip shop was extremely noisy in our rooms and the smell of chip oil very strong. Try to avoid room 4 especially. A total of 10 people are sharing one medium sized fridge and one kitchen. Plenty of crockery but cutlery very limited. The advert says “Each unit comes with a sofa, a seating area, a flatscreen TV with streaming services, a well-fitted kitchen and a private bathroom with walk-in shower.” However the sofas, seating areas and kitchen are all in fact communal spaces for all units. The front door relies on each room physically locking it when entering and leaving the property. We found the door was left unlocked by other occupants and suggest a self locking door is fitted for guest security. The host responded quickly but was rather unsympathetic to our concerns. She claimed nobody had ever mentioned the smell ( reviews indicate otherwise) and implied our concerns would be resolved if we went out in the evenings like most guests.

The location was within easy walking distance of everything we needed.

Whilst we had been warned about 'some noise' due to the property's central location that did not prepare us for the next door disco that went on well past 1 a.m. There are earplugs at the property but these are useless as a defence against heavy bass. The toilet was not fixed firmly to the floor, and the shower door was difficult to position so as not to allow water to escape. The bathroom door made a loud creak as it was closed, guaranteeing that you'd disturb your partner if going to the loo in the night. On top of that I banged my head at least 4 times on the sloping roof which I found very intrusive (and I'm < 6 feet tall). It does seem strange to call it a BnB when it doesn't do breakfast but the facilities for preparing your own did look OK. We preferred to walk down to the 'spoons.

The property is central within Chepstow and a short walk from a large car park. Check-in instructions were clear and delivered in good time. The fan in the room was useful, especially as the only windows were skylights and our request for additional loo paper was very quickly answered.
