We had a wonderful experience at Dartmoor Inn. Even before we arrived, the staff went above and beyond — they called us while we were on the way, concerned that we might miss dinner as the kitchen was about to close. Thanks to their thoughtfulness, they prepared our food in advance and brought it straight to our room when we arrived. After a long journey, this gesture made us feel incredibly welcomed and cared for. The room was comfortable, and the service throughout our stay was consistently friendly and attentive. Breakfast the next morning was also very good, with a nice variety of fresh options. Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for great hospitality and personal touches that make a real difference.

Wow. Just wow. A lovely room, comfy bed etc. however the food and staff are the prime attraction. Stunning, inventive and delicious food with a great bar and wine list. The ladies and gentlemen that own/manage/work here could put most places to shame. Unruffled warm and polite professionalism from the moment my brother and I arrived to the moment we left. The breakfast was superb but supper was off the scale for quality ingredients cooked by a kitchen who really seem to know what they want to present. Thank you therefore to Tess, Wren, Gemma, James, Kate and Jasmine. Forgive me if I missed anyone; you were all brilliant and I won’t stop telling people to visit you.

I was very impressed with the service from super-helpful, friendly staff. I loved my room and the lovely additional touches - real milk in the fridge and real teabags too in an air-tight glass jar. The standard of the food from the kitchen both nights I dined there was truly outstanding. An amazing, unctuous risotto on the first evening and a moist, perfectly- cooked roast chicken breast on the second.

Absolutely nothing, it was faultless!

Such a wonderful night away, Tess and her team are so warm and welcoming and made our night so special. The food is absolutely excellent and the room was really beautiful, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really lovely too, beautifully set table, so nice to welcome you in the morning. I really couldn’t fault anything, it was fantastic. I would highly recommend staying here, we will definitely be going back.

Being super picky but the communal hall/stairwell to the rooms was grubby and needed painting. Like I said though, very picky as no real faults at all.
