Very clean, comfortable bed, excellent restaurant food, quiet location.

We had a wonderful stay. All the staff were super friendly and helpful, which made us feel very welcome. Our room was lovely, with a very comfortable bed that ensured a great night’s sleep. This time we only had breakfast, which offered a lovely choice and excellent service. Next time we’ll be sure to stay for dinner as well. Highly recommend.

Room too hot

Superb breakfast, very helpful and pleasant staff, lovely beer garden out the back and a very nice evening meal. My only slight complaint and, it’s a minor one, is that the room was too hot, even with the window open. I only discovered the portable air con/fan unit in the wardrobe the next morning sadly. Lovely place though and will definitely stay here again.

room was very warm ( it was sunny during the day ) but there was a tower fan in the wardrobe which was very good and made the room temperature a lot cooler.

the hotel and food were brilliant and staff were cheery and friendly. the weather was nice so we were able to sit outside.

I cannot fault anything about the Devonport.

Beautiful hotel in a lovely setting, staff were lovely, food amazing, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hotel was spotlessly clean throughout, outside areas just as well cared for, rooms were lovely too!

The dinner menu, and the dinner itself, was better on our first stay. On one occasion, a waitress took our order by memory then when it arrived she'd got it wrong.

Second time we've stayed and each time the rooms have been absolutely beautiful - stylishly furnished, well equipped, comfortable and spotless. The self-catering facilities in the apartment rooms are excellent, with premium-brand white goods that look like new.

Staff, service, food, welcome were all excellent and a welcome break from 'corporate' hotels. The old fashioned alarm clock in the room was a really nice touch too. Couldn't fault and wish more hotels were this welcoming.

Gorgeous place to stay, the staff were lovely, breakfast was lush. We stayed here after our wedding day and the staff upgraded our room also added breakfast at no extra cost. Very grateful

It was fine, but I was a little surprised that there was no cereals offer, and that there was no separate plate for the toast which I requested.

Cold room and bathroom (despite small radiator being on) fuzzy tv pic, very flat pillows, no coffee machine only instant sachets

Nice bathroom facilities, decent size rooms and bottled water a nice touch.Good breakfast.
