Looked a little tired. Although expected in a coastal location, be warned that the Herring Gulls are very noisy until late at night and start again before sunrise! Earplugs are advised, especially if you book the top rooms.

Close to the coast. Friendly staff. Clean room. Good parking in front of the house.

No Wardrobe in small bedroom, Screens and abstract paintings covering holes in walls

My group had the apartment a bit Bohemian and unkempt, no wardrobe in small bedroom no litter bins in either bedroom or bathroom.

Could have done with an update. Maybe some new pillows on the bed.

Great central location. Parking was a bit of a squeeze. Good value for money. The breakfast was great. My son said it would have been perfect if there was an option for hash browns. Great place to break our journey down to Cornwall 😃

No problems from my point of view, but just be aware that you will need to carry bags up some stairs.

Really good location, freindly owners, and the place has a certain quirky charm, with artwork here and there which adds a splash of colour to the seaside atmosphere- It was our second stay, very happy both times.

There was nothing we didn't like. We thought everything was great and excellent value.

We thought the location was excellent and the free parking was a bonus. Our room was clean and spacious with a lovely big bathroom and plenty of tea/ coffee sachets. We loved the cooked breakfast the following morning- perfectly poached eggs and delicious sausage and bacon.

Downstairs needs sprucing up. Didn’t need to get a message two days before hand reminding me checkout was 11 and I had to leave the key in the room door…that could all have been done when we checked in. Also gave them an estimated arrival time when I booked, didn’t need to be asked again. Overpriced for what it was at £135 a night

The room was much better than I expected from the exterior and downstairs area, it was actually very nice. Breakfast was good. Nice selection of teas and coffees in the room.

Our room was very quiet apart from the seagulls, but you have to expect that when you travel to the sea side and it is completely outside the owners control! Breakfast was very good, all staff welcoming and happy to help you, would recommend and return!

The beds were uncomfortable with synthetic bedding and toppers that didn’t fit. The en-suite shower was very tired with some mould on the sealant

The location is great - near to all amenities and easy to find from the Coastal path

Other reviews have commented on the appearance of the hotel but although I agree it does look a little tired, it is an interesting, quirky building and didn't detract from our stay. Seagulls were a little bit noisy but not much you can do about that, we're at the seaside!

The staff here are great, Becca who greeted us was very friendly and helpful, including finding space for us to leave our bikes and ready to pull a well needed pint. The room was comfortable with great wifi tv, tea and coffee making facilities. The large shared bathroom was clean and tidy with large, good shower, toiletries provided and being shared was not a problem for us. For breakfast, their were cereals, orange juice, tea and coffee and the cooked breakfast was especially good. Simon and team were very friendly and could not do any more to help us, thank you. Great location too.

    Noise from seagulls.😉

Excellent location, within view of the harbour. The property is a little dated, and in need of some TLC, but this did not detract from our enjoyment. Rooms clean and tidy, comfortable bed and great facilities. The breakfast was lovely, and staff friendly and attentive. Free car parking on site. Recommended.
