Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Bathroom was very small as the loo and shower had been crow-barred into a corner of our room.
Property was clean and comfortable if a little basic. We were only there for one night and had to leave early the next morning to go to an appointment at Southmead Hospital, which is only a very short distance away.

There was a disturbance during the night due to loud neighbours? We could clearly hear upstairs bathroom noises unfortunately, tho this was short duration.
Location was perfect for the walkable distance to the hospital (20 mins ), and local amenities (3 to 5 mins) Good parking outside - accessible and off road. Room was very clean and tidy, as was bathroom. Host was very friendly and amenable - we would return

Stayed once a week for 7 week’s and had no issues. Miguel was a great host, was very accommodating and answered messages quickly. I stayed in several different rooms and all were clean and spacious. Parking available which was a great help. Good location within walking distance to Southmead Hospital. I Would stay again!

I had to be at Southmead Hospital for 7am to book in for surgery. The Elms location was perfect - 3 minutes down the road. the beds were comfortable and it was spotlessly clean

Nothing detrimental to say, it is as described, no frills, but more than adequate for a night if working or passing through the area
This a straight forward guest house, there is no breakfast and the other customers seemed to be tradesmen. The room was a nice size and very clean, its in Filton, so very easy and quick access to the motorway network. There is also onsite parking. There is is not a lot in the immediate area, no pubs or restaurants from what I could see, however just a few minutes walk one way you have a Tesco Express, a few minutes the other way is a pizza shop, a chippy and an Indian.

Some easy things could be done to improve the bedroom, such as a few hooks or clothes rail. The bathroom was in need of a bit of attention, but all in all, pretty much what I expected for the price.
The room was quiet, despite being located on a fairly main road. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of tea and coffee supplies!
