We stayed after a wedding and it was perfect. Very clean and had everything we needed. The team are amazing and nothing is too much for them.

Staff were lovely and helpful, and breakfast was good, mostly, and public rooms were great.

Room was very old, and shabby. Poor decision. Reasonably clean. Uncomfortable bed. Noisy above us.

Good location for what we needed. Lunch and dinner good. Happy to help with extra pillows.

Nice looking building and a good location

We were put in the stable building around the back and the floors are the creakiest Ive ever heard, terrible night sleep and it comes from left and right, we were upstairs and if we were below I am sure you would here upstairs too!

The price of the room was very reasonable. When we arrived at the hotel, the initial look of the hotel is beautiful and grand, lovely grounds and the staff very lovely!! Very pleasant, attentive and helpful. There was also a fan in my room, It was a very hot day so greatly appreciated! Also large coffee cups, I love a large coffee on a morning. Very spacious room, especially the bathroom. The food was delicious! We chose from the Indian menu for our evening meal and had a full English before we left and it was perfect!

Unfortunately, as we walked to our room, the stable rooms, the side of the building is very run down, broken windows, paint peeling, not very aesthetically pleasing, the stable rooms however, externally, stunning, but there were multiple spiders and cobwebs in the room when we arrived indicating it may not have been stayed in / cleaned for a while, there were marks / stains all over the walls and door frames, TV Bracket but TV was stood up, light brackets but no lights, looked like a soap dispenser had been removed from the tiles in the bathroom but the glue was still in place and getting mouldy, bits of mould in the bathroom, the beds were very uncomfortable and noisy, I could hear the person above me moving around in there bed and anytime they walked around I could hear them, I could even hear them coughing, so i didnt get much sleep. We had an evening meal, then the next morning we sat in the same area (we had children with us and it was out the way), the carpet had not been hoovered / swept, the poppadoms (accidentally) dropped by the children the night before were still there even a tag from a toy one of the children had was still there.

The hotel was easy to find and a short walk from the station. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The accepted our later than advertised breakfast time when we asked for it. Breakfast was also great.

Room was extremely hot and we had to leave the window and main door to the room open when we first got there, along with putting a fan that sounded as if it had had better dates on, to cool the room down. The facilities in the room were limited. Toilet didn't flush properly and needed several flushes to clear waste. The sink didn't drain and my partner had to clear out lot of old hair and gunk from the plug to enable it to do so. Breakfast times were taken on check in - but times offered for a Sunday were 08.00-9.30. Very early for a hotel breakfast on a Sunday. As was check out (10.30am!!) Most hotels are either 11am or 12noon.

Staff were helpful, polite, friendly and efficient. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Lovely big window. Evening meal was tasty, well presented and reasonably priced. Nice old hotel, set back from the road, in pleasant grounds and a useful location. Overall good value.

It was very clean. Lovely hot shower. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room. bed was comfy

The warm and friendly staff. They fed us when we arrived late and the kitchen was closed. Much appreciated. We also had a delicious Indian meal in the restaurant the following evening. Good value and generous portions!

I wish they had provided bottled water and a few more ‘smellies’ in the room

A few creaky floorboards in my room

The restaurant is lovely. Breakfast was delicious and good value for money. The staff are exceptional - very friendly and will do anything to help. Location is good. Good value for money for our stay.

The rooms were very outdated and not the cleanest. The beds were hard with only one pillow each. The room we stayed in was directly under the creakiest floor boards so we didn’t get much sleep.

Room too hot, dated furniture, bed okay though. Needs more checking to ensure correct towels etc in room before guests arrive.

Plug hole in shower blocked, tired looking rooms

Very good, quiet location. Lots of available parking. Indian restaurant attached served excellent indian food.

Room in need of refurbishment. Tired furniture and old carpet. Bathroom very old. Sink filled up almost immediately when tap running and took ages to drain away. Scalding hot water in shower, absolutely no cold water so no shower all weekend despite reporting it after arrival. Bar shut at 11pm. Literally asked to leave the bar room because they were closing it. Breakfast advertised as 8 to 10am. Advised that latest we could have it was 9.30. Went down for breakfast at 8am and then 820am and both times the room was closed. Reported all this at checkout. Receptionist said owner would call me later. 2 days later, no call.
