Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomCups were dirty and items such as slippers and gowns hadn’t been checked, as there was only one of each despite two guests. A one inch shard of broken glass had been left on the floor that my partner found so extra vigilance should be taken by cleaners.
The property was stunning both visually and locationally, Close enough to everything we wanted to see but without the traffic and noise. Breathtaking views from the restaurant.

United KingdomWe booked all the rooms and dinner for a special 60th birthday celebration. From the moment we arrived till we left we were treated like royalty. All the staff were kind, attentive and accommodating to ensure we had a great stay. The food was exceptional- we had the al a cart on one night and then the tasting menu for the birthday celebration- each course a delight and crafted with skill. And first class wines and recommendations from the sommelier. The whole setting and the rooms were beautiful and well equipped. We had arranged bike hire (through a different company) which the Inn team sorted before our arrival. A huge thanks to all the Team

The Feathered Nest Inn. Looks lovely on the photographs, but when we arrived, It was well above my expectations. The place is fantastic. From the Inn, it's self to the warm welcome from the staff to the rooms. The food and the service were exceptional, the grounds with brilliant views across the countryside. We would definitely recommend the Feathered Nest Inn to anyone. And we are looking forward to a return visit. Thank you all for the lovely stay.

United StatesI didn't like that we had to check out ;)
We stayed at The Cottage. Every single detail was absolute perfection, beautifully decorated, even the radio on with the most relaxing Classical music station welcomed us in our room. We had everything we possibly needed. Dinner the night of our arrival was incredible and Gonzalo took amazing care of us, great service and conversation. Bed linens were luxurious, we woke up so rested and happy. Breakfast was delicious, with great variety, impeccable presentation, and friendly service. The view from the dining room was like from a postcard. The Inn is full of art and beautiful details all around, very cozy and welcoming. Our stay was short because we only had a couple of days to explore the Cotswolds but I could have stayed there forever. I felt like the Royals in their country house.

United KingdomA bit of difficulty returning from our walk with muddy boots - probably not unusual but seemed to be a surprise for them. The shower head was slightly damaged and had limscale on its tips.
The food was exceptional, a really great menu of well delivered meals. The bar, pub and restaurant space is delightful - two fires and plenty of cosy places to sit. So lovely to have recommended walks available online before with a handy map and guide available printed in real life. Room was comfortable and classy. The views across the Cotswolds are amazing.

United KingdomWe stayed 3 days over xmas. No mini bar in the room. No iron (but you could ask to borrow one) They were not open xmas eve, we paid £100 (return) to go to an another village pub 3miles away. Xmas day taster meal for us was disappointing. at £175 each. Firstly, I was asked to sit on a stained, chair with torn upholstery. ( only 1 xmas cracker between us!) The main veg nut roast, virtually inedible (burnt?) Twice we were served incorrectly. Our Wine Glasses not topped up..... (We noticed those drinking champagne, did get more attentive service.) Staff were polite, but lacked warm hospitality. Please be aware that this establishment allows dogs in the bar area.
The property was in a quiet, rural location. Breakfast was very good. Good varied menu, excellent wine list. Loved the unique saddle bar stools.

United StatesThe only downside for us is that the hotel is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday so we weren't able to use the facilities, but we stayed in the cottage so it wasn't a big deal at all.
Great location near many of the Cotswolds towns, but remote enough that you aren't near other tourists. The property is absolutely stunning and has wonderful views.

AustraliaAt dinner -The menu had changed without being updated so the dish I ordered and what I was given were different and had I known of the change I would have ordered something else. When raised it was not handled well at all. No apology rather attempted justification that the dishes weren’t that different!
Gorgeous location, lovely room, very well looked after property.
