Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The window seemed stuck at the top and I was unable to shut it. This left a cold breeze in the room overnight. I didn't want to risk breaking it but I managed to keep warm once under the blankets. Check out was 10am, despite 11am being listed online. That worked okay but it was just odd that it was different to what was advertised. So it's just a point to keep note of.
The room looked bigger than in the pictures. Definitely not a tiny place. It had the right facilities, with a comfy bed, spacious enough walk in shower and internet / YouTube on TV. Along with some tea and coffee options. Cannot argue overall with the room. It's definitely not bad at all and for a single stay, I can't fault it too much. The top floor is shared between 4 rooms but it still felt very quiet around the house. The bathroom is private per room and outdoor noise was not an issue, due to the location.

There was a small issue with the room the owner was very upfront about and I appreciated the heads up on the situation and it was not a problem during my stay.

A very minor issue was only a single hand towel, which I'm sure would have been sorted had we asked. Not a problem, given the bath sheets. On the second night there was no nearby parking, but we found a place less than 5 minutes away from the guest house.
Very quiet location, but not far from the main road. Good to have tea/coffee available in the room with the nice touch of a couple of Tunnock's Tea Cakes. Striking, colourful decor. Comfortable beds and lovely soft, thick towels.

The curtains allowed light in so at 5am the room was quite light. The shower head would not stay in position and the toilet roll holder fell off the wall. Thankfully these are all simple fixes.
Check in was easy with good communication. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Location was also good as great walks nearby .Parking was easy to find

It was disappointing to find out that breakfast is no longer available here. It has been discontinued recently. There is only a Venetian blind at the window, which lets in a lot of light. Inverkip is very small, there isn't much there. The general area is scenic, so would probably stay at another town nearby next time.
Clean, spacious room. Convenient for the train station. Quiet location. The Tunnocks teacakes were nice.

It would have helped if the booking agency had clearly informed host that twin room was required as the host had not made up separate beds and had to rectify this immediately upon being informed by us of this issue

A friendly welcome, lovely bedroom with well appointed bathroom with toiletries and fluffy towels. Good shower, very comfy bed, good tv. Nice breakfast choices. The whole b&b looked well maintained and beautifully clean. Parking outside the property was a bonus. Wi-Fi available.

Tea and coffee facilities not good and the room smelled of fresh paint which whilst it gave me a headache, did mean it looked very clean and tidy.
Very simple to get to and nicely tucked away from a busy road. Comfy bed and facilities were great.

The room was lovely and the breakfast too, served in the room. There's ample parking close by and easy access via a lockbox in the porch. My only problem was the TV remote or aerial not getting a good signal, but having reported it I'm sure it'll be sorted soon. I would happily stay here again.

Beautiful place, really comfy beds, very clean, the twin room I stayed in was really nice decor, it flowed with quirky bed wall lamps matched the wall paper and other bits about. Heather is lovely, very welcoming, attentive, was very prompt to reply to a couple messages I sent. Highly recommend

There was only one accessible power point, which was on the other side of the room from the kettle and the bed. The blinds did not block the street lighting.
It was very clean and the location was well suited for exploring that part of the world. We highlighted an issue with the shower head and the hosts implemented a temporary solution the same day.

no curtain in the bedroom only a blind so let in alot of light in the morning, we asked for breakast at 9 but it came at 8.30 so wasnt quite ready for it

Despite being only 10 degrees outside, I found room 3 very cold. So much so that in addition to using a spare blanket from the cupboard, I also wore my jumper in bed :-( However, as the bed was so comfy, I was soon asleep. I think the problem was caused be defective radiator controls, caused by a previous resident.
A very clean room which provided all you need (including two marshmallows with the tea and coffee :-) Entry details are provided before arrival by text. Breakfast delivered to your room at a time you choose. Choice included boiled egg & toast. Two filling (egg/bacon etc) roll. Yogurt, fruit and croissant or serial and toast. It is located in a very quiet area.

The breakfast was tasty enough but no drinks on the options although saying that there was tea and coffee in the room but fruit juice on the breakfast options would have been good but not a deal breaker
