Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The room was lovely and welcoming, with a beautiful patio & garden outside, the bed was wonderful and so soft and comfortable, the bathroom was gorgeous with a large walk in shower, very spacious! The hotel was lovely and couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect! The food was delicious and couldn't fault anything! Just a great location too, so peaceful and nature all around! Beautiful surroundings and perfect location for visiting linton falls and grassinton! Which are stunning to visit, also Burnsall & Appletreewick just minutes away! United KingdomThe bed was at the end of its days, and desperately needs the mattress renewing. A small fridge wouldn’t go amiss for the price of the accommodation either
Excellent location and very clean. The staff in all the hotel, bar, restaurant, Spa and Gym were excellent and Daniel was outstanding.

United KingdomNothing, it was all great.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Great accommodation and had access to the pool, gym, cafe, and restaurant. The pods were equipped with what we needed and were comfortable. We were told by locals that there was a bus that went onsite that also goes to the nearest towns, but we drove everywhere. Would recommend staying.

United KingdomI was lucky to be upgraded but the room was hot when I arrived. However, there was a big floor fan provided which was excellent and cooled the room down. The bathroom was superb with underfloor heating.
The breakfast was truly excellent. The upgrade of the room was wonderful and the evening steak I had could not have been better. The full use of the leisure centre next door was an excellent bonus.

United KingdomNo specific reception. Key pick up behind bar so if lots of people queuing for drinks you have to wait. There is online check in but don’t think that assists with key. It was only a minor issue

United KingdomI didn’t realise the pub is on a Caravan Park, called Long Ashes at Threshfield. Booking.com you should be more specific when one searches for property. This was not in Skipton but your search said it was, very misleading. The room was very warm. A fan was provided but very noisy to try and get to sleep. A car is required as there isn’t anything around. Nearest pub is 45 minutes walking and no footpath. The cafe needs to be more informative of when meals are stopped being served. For example: Two Pizzas for £20 daily is on the blackboard. When we got back from a day out we wanted to have a Pizza for our tea. We were told they stop making them before 5pm. The cafe doesn’t close until 8pm. The lady very kindly made us a sandwich but at £8.95 for two slices of bread, Cheese Savoury filling with a touch of salad, was way overpriced. Had we known the cafe stopped serving so early, we would have bought a meal deal in Skipton and saved a fortune. We had eaten in the pub the previous evening and did not want another large meal.
Clean and comfortable. Plenty of tea , coffee in the room.

United KingdomUnfortunately the bathroom in our pod flooded due to a disconnected pipe at the back of the toilet. This was early hours of the morning. My wife and I had to use some of our clothes as well as the towels provided to absorb everything , including dirty toilet water, and we couldn't use the toilet. The next day when I reported the issue and explained everything, they couldn't fix it due to no maintenance staff working at the weekend. I offered to repair it myself and explained they should call a professional on the Monday. I removed the surround at the back of the toilet and managed to repair the pipe with some duct tape temporarily. After fixing the toilet and ruining some of our clothes, I mistakenly thought a good gesture would have been offered by the manager working at the weekend. A reduced payment on our stay? A complimentary meal? Even a free pint? Nothing was offered, and I completely understand that any of the things would be given only out of good will. Never the less. We had wonderful time besides this upset and will return in the future. If it had been me, I would have at least said thank you

United KingdomThere were only a few tea bags provided so a few extra would have been great but it didn't affect our stay at all.
We stayed in one of the woodland cabins. It was so lovely and had everything you need for a few nights stay and was plenty big enough. The small kitchenette had a toaster, kettle, fridge and microwave and was well equipped. We used the swimming pool/hot tub/sauna every day which is located only a few minutes walk from the cabins. We would recommend going earlier in the morning when it was much quieter! The Gamekeeper's Inn do a great breakfast, it wasn't included in our stay but was very reasonably priced. We also had a great evening meal there too. The location was excellent and we walked to Grassington. The staff were all really friendly and we couldn't have asked for a better stay.

United KingdomThis might not be an issue for other people but my only slight criticism is that the mattress was too soft, I suffer with a bad back so for me personally, I need a good firm mattress.
The room and bathroom were clean and modern, I loved how dog friendly it was even though we didn’t bring ours. The bar, bar garden, restaurant were all lovely and clean and inviting as well.
