We loved our stay at the Foodie! Karen was a wonderful hostess! She greeted us with a nice cup of tea and a big smile! The rooms were beautiful, clean and very nicely decorated! Karen cooked us a wonderful dinner accommodating our preferences (one vegetarian and one vegan). The food was delicious and plentiful! Karen’s passion for food, cooking, foraging and Scotland was evident in every aspect of our stay. Her insights were enriching and has convinced us to come back to Scotland to see what we missed this time!

Overall cost when adding the food cost to the stay was expensive. And sharing one bathroom between all 5 in our family was a minor challenge.

Karen is a wonderful and friendly host. She is friendly and engaging. Her culinary skills are amazing and the food was full of fresh, local ingredients. It was fun to enjoy traditional Scottish fare.

The owner was very helpful and accommodating. They allow dogs for a small charge, which was a must for us. Easy walk into Inverness along the river. The food was delicious really recommend booking dinner and breakfast.

The property was advertised as being suitable for 4 adults. In our case, we had four adults. However, we had 2 adult children of different sex which meant one had to sleep on a bed settee. Th bed settee functioned well as a settee but was not suitable for an adult to use for sleeping at all. I did not think to take photos but I should have of the bed settee for an adult.

The host was very accommodating pleasant and friendly. The apartment was adequate for our stay .

Not one thing. The best!

Karen, the house, the food and the location were all just exceptional! What a great stay- really couldn’t have been any better! Karen made us an absolutely divine traditional Scottish breakfast that was “to die for delicious-farm to table quality, and the portions were just perfect. The shower was so delightful and plenty of hot water and the bathroom was clean , as well as the spotless rest of the house. Beautiful bookcases filled with books about the area and Scottish magazines and most of all the beds were comfy! Karen was a wonderful host we enjoyed her company at breakfast- super fun to talk to! We would definitely come back and stay with Karen here again! A+++. Directions were easy and perfect.

Just a few minutes from the city centre, this lovely flat is in a quiet and cozy residential neighbourhood. Perfect for a break if you are constantly backpacking and moving across the highlands. Karen welcomes you with all suggestions about the area and what is worth visiting. I hardly recommend to have at least one meal cooked by her as she is part of the slow food movement. You will be so pleased with what she puts together for a nice meal. Another plus for the Italians. Karen lives in Italy so if you struggle with the language she can help you out and makes you feel like home.

I liked the cleanness, location and the breakfast was delicious and the host of the property was a lovely lady, who made the warm entrance and made sure we felt comfortable for the whole staying. We’ll definitely come back there.

Where to start. Our booking details said we had full cooking and laundry facilities so we expected to do our washing. We bought food for breakfast and we’re going to cook dinner as well. When we arrived, we were told no food, no kitchen, no laundry. We weren’t happy! Compromise was reached where we ate our food for breakfast. Very unhappy with the incorrect information provided by booking.com and wonder whose fault this is? Karen, our host, blamed booking.com but we presume she has to provide them with her info. And we note there were similar complaints as far back as 2022. It is false advertising in our view and needs to be corrected. Karen doesn’t offer a traditional B&B, just a bed. If you want breakfast you pay and extra Pds15. If you want dinner, an extra Pds55 per head. All ok, just tell the consumer the facts.

The booking never showed that there would be a host staying with us, we paid for the entire property and now there’s a host who’s dictating what we do and do not. The host was extremely rude and the wifi wasn’t even working, after desperate attempts of fixing the wifi the host refused to fix it. WiFi was extremely essential as there’s absolutely no network in that area. She wasn’t cooperative at all. PLEASE BEWARE u think u have the entire house to yourself for the price but u do not.

Place felt small. We had 4 people in our family and our 2-night accommodations were our 2 bedrooms, the bathroom, and the living room. Not having access to the kitchen and more space somehow made this visit feel more like staying in a hotel than staying in an Airbnb or a bed-and-breakfast. Decided not to have breakfast as it seemed overpriced. Went to local cafes and had excellent breakfasts for less. Hostess was kind to greet us upon arrival, but we did not see her the rest of the time. Experience was poor compared to my other B&B stays and was not worth the amount paid.

Place was clean. Parking was not an issue. Hostess was kind enough to wait up for us even though we arrived on a very late flight.

Karen is three attention, comment garer la car, comment nous installer. The apartment is very pleasant with a landscaped garden. The decorations are inspiring pieces of art. The beds are comfortable
