We ran out of toilet paper (there was only one roll and we were there for four nights), the shower needs a shelf or shower caddy (I hate putting my shower bottles on the floor) and I wish I had a flannel (but that’s just me!)

A beautiful lodge to stay in after a long day at a wedding. I was so grateful for the milk and snacks in the fridge as I arrived late in the day. It was spotless and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Thank you.

A wonderful stay in beautifully restored Gatelodge. Everything you could wish for is supplied, including welcome items in the fridge. Comfortable bed in lovely furnished very cosy room, WiFi, TV, microwave, kettle & toaster. Great shower & stacks of hot water. Many thanks to excellent host John & team. Another perfect visit! Another wonderful stay in The Gatelodge. Absolutely beautiful, and we very much appreciated the little touches of Christmas decorations, which added to the cosy comfy feel at this time of year. As always, everything you could need for a perfect stay. Attention to cleanliness, very comfortable bed with snacks, milk, tea, and coffee all provided. Enjoyed walking on the grounds with the snow in the fields. Very many thanks to John for all his care & and attention, which is second to none.

There was nothing that could have made our stay any better.

The Gate Lodge was the perfect place to stay on our motorcycle trip around Ireland. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was available. We particularly liked the River Walk through the adjacent farmland. It was wonderful to be allowed this access and to enjoy the countryside.

There was nothing at all we didn't like. It felt special to stay in this lovely lodge, which while situated in beautiful countryside, is on a main route for exploring the local areas

We'd a terrific time at the Gatelodge. A beautifully restored building providing 'studio' accommodation. Everything we needed was supplied, mini fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster cups, plates & cutlery. Tea & coffee were provided too! The bed was a great size and very comfortable indeed. Lots of storage for clothes, and a folding table & chairs too. The other room had a very generous sized shower and, again, all the facilities you could need. Lots of thought have gone into anticipating guests' needs. John, our host, checked everything was OK for us and basically couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. Loved the views and the there's a River walk which starts beside the Gatelodge - we really enjoyed dandering along beside the river Roe. We will definitely be back 😃

The cottage had everything we needed...and more. We contacted John and he was most helpful. The surrounding area is beautiful with lush grass and the River Roe surrounding us. We had a brilliant and perfect stay.
