Nothing really. More about the noise from our noisy neighbour . Friend said road was noisy but we were in 5 and couldn’t hear it. We had 2 pillows each but were on the thin side.

We were checked in ok Breakfast tasty Room was large and had the twin beds we requested. Small window so appeared dark however it was hot outside so stayed cooler. Mattress felt a bit lumpy but we did have a comfortable night sleep. Good location as visiting friends in Lydney

Some room improvements needed, and unfortunately we didn’t have a full breakfast as the chef wasn’t there.

We had booked 2 rooms for 3 adults, a double and a twin. Whilst the double bed was comfortable we found the twin beds in room 5 weren’t, possibly it is fine for children but would not recommend this room for adults. We felt that the rooms were overpriced compared to other hotels we have stayed in.

The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The location was perfect for our evening aboard the Forest of Dean Railway. Our rooms were together off a courtyard where no other guests could access which was nice. Millingbrook Lodge was very quaint.

We thought there was bike storage for very expensive mountain bikes but there was just a scruffy bin area which wasn’t secure so we had to leave bike on car hitch wasn’t ideal. Given proximity to Forest of Dean, secure bike storage would really add to the appeal.

Wasn't keen on the breakfast set up, you have to order everything including drinks and cereal which meant a bit of a wait.

Food in the George in was fantastic, we ate there a few times during our stay, including the carvery and it was all faultless

We could have booked one room. As one we were given have a double and single bed.

This was a nice place to stay. We were 3 people + small dog traveling together and booked 2 rooms. That was the only option online. Check in was easy.

Being right next to a busy road. Difficult to open the window because of the bushes but noisy from the traffic when window open. The room smelt musty/damp with no bathroom window. Being dog friendly, I feel carpet is not ideal and less clean. The basin tap was very stiff. The shower curtain needs replacing and I felt the bathroom could be cleaner or updated. Disappointed with the soap sachets.

Being dog friendly; convenient location; comfortable bed; nice shower and towels; good pub; friendly staff.

The room was lovely & clean, the gentleman who saw me coming in, approached me in a friendly manner & was very amenable, I asked about check out & he let me decide a time. The outside was quaint & pretty

I had some noisy neighbours who came in early hours and I, unfortunately, was woken with the noise through the walls. The road noise wasn't a bother.

Great space, very welcoming for dogs. Great location with plenty of forest walks and dog friendly adventures nearby.

If i have to pick something it would be the poor visibility when taking a right turn out of the car park, but I don't think that moving the hotel is a viable option.

Everything! All the staff were welcoming, friendly but courteous, and very helpful.
