The food option was not great as the restaurant was not fully operational. And there is no elevator so you have to lug your luggage up the stairs

The room was nice, and the mattress was comfortable.

The hotel was okay overall, clean and decent for a short stay. However, we were disappointed with the breakfast arrangements. We were told that breakfast could not be served until 9 a.m. because the dining area only seats eight people at a time. Unfortunately, we had to leave by 8 a.m. for another booking, and no alternative option was offered, even though we had already paid for breakfast. This was quite inconvenient and left us feeling let down.

The carpets had stains from previous guests and the hot water in the shower/tub was a little tricky to figure out at first.

The location was wonderful for exploring the Highlands and the staff was so friendly and helpful.

My husband and son had a problem with the hot water in their room, but the staff fixed it very quickly.

The inn was very cozy and inviting. The rooms, while small, were very well-appointed. The dining room and pub were also very good.

Room was 'tired'. TV did not work. Number lock system to enter room and return to hotel was cumbersome and needed several attempts. Cutlery and utensils in restaurant needed proper cleaning. Only one person serving in restaurant and bar.

    Good position.

At the time of making the reservation with Booking.com, the rooms are listed as Bath/Shower but should really say Bath OR Shower. That may have changed by the time you read this. For our late check-in we were informed that the night porter would give us our key. However, on our arrival the front door was unlocked and our paperwork and key were left on a clipboard. No one greeted us. We also observed this the following night for 3 other late arrivals. This could be considered a confidentiality issue. For the first mornings breakfast, we booked in for 09:30, but on arrival, the kitchen staff had expected us at 09:00. We asked the reception to book us in for 08:30 the next morning, but later we found the kitchen wasn't expecting us at all. As regards the breakfast, the food is hit or miss depending on the chef that day. For the first morning, the food was excellent and the wait staff very attentive but undermanned. The second morning, the wait staff was seriously strained with 1. Understaffing, 2. Poor communication from the reception with people turning up at random times and, 3. A chef who was apparently new and without supervision. The breakfast came well overcooked and dry. We observed other guests to have similar issues or in some cases the overloading of food in the bowls or plates. Again, the wait staff did what they could to facilitate their guests needs as promptly as possible. In regard to the breakfast area, it's upstairs but the staff indicated that there were plans to re-organise the layout and move it downstairs and hence more accessible. On the morning of our departure, there were work vehicles moving in to start renovations so this might make this review outdated sooner than later.

The room was clean as was the bed linen. It is a very old building so has some quirky charm. Please bear in mind that old buildings were never designed to accomodate those with mobility issues. The staff were trying their very best to be helpful and accomodating. As such, we were permitted to have a late check-in as there were extensive roadworks on our route to the Inn. The location is excellent for the area and can function as a base for any hiking trips you might be interested in.

Noise outside apartment bedroom- adjoining service hallway. Perhaps staff could let doors close quieter- especially at night and mornings. Restaurant?? Basically closed! Hopefully guests like fish and chips because that was only choice! Price for one night - over £380!!!' Why??

Our first room was a tad small. But one call to the Reception, and the next morning we were moved to a larger room.

The Glencoe Inn, in Glencoe is the best location for seeing all Glen Coe and the surrounding area. We stayed three nights. The restaurant at the Inn has a good dinner and a great breakfast. David and the rest of the dining staff will take the best care of you. There is plenty of parking and there were a couple of cottages available.
