Everything was perfect. The guesthouse is only a few minutes’ walk from the train station and supermarkets, so it’s handy for getting around the Lake District or travelling to other cities. The room was clean and spacious, and our welcome snacks were topped up every day, which was a lovely touch. Breakfast can be chosen from a varied menu – I highly recommend the English breakfast. I still can’t forget how delicious the toast was! The pancakes are also a wonderful choice. Our host, Catherine, kindly let us check in before 9pm and keep our bags until 5pm after check-out, which made our trip to the Lake District much more convenient and enjoyable.

Great experience with clear room (despite it is not big)+ graceful lady + good breakfast + nice location (about 10 mins walking distance VS rail station ) . My wife is satisfied , she is happy , then I am happy :)

Not a fan of pocket sprung mattresses - but that’s just a personal preference as I have a bad back

It was very clean, homely and well looked after. The service was very good and is centrally located. Highly recommend this hotel.

Everything was perfect, room super clean, towels changed every day, breakfast was amazing ( especially the English breakfast) and the bedroom was super cozy, very comfy bed, in the centre of the town near lots of restaurants and shops. The area is full of places to visit and very beautiful. We truly enjoyed spend time there and relax. We loved everything, thank you for your hospitality.

Lovely little guest house which was in a great location to use as a base to go hiking everyday. Catherine was a great host who was always willing to help or provide a tip for out next hike!

Very clean, great location in the Centre but still really quiet. Great breakfasts, we had 3 different breakfasts over 3 days.

The place was lovely! Very conveniently located --- close to the train station, shops, bus stop, restaurants. Breakfast was sumptuous, and there were several options to choose from. The room was nice and clean with a large window offering a lovely view. The whole place had a very homely feeling. Catherine was very helpful and prompt.

Catherine was a warm and welcoming host with lots of local knowledge. The location was outstanding, walking distance to all the local eateries. The room we had was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious as well. Would highly recommend this place

Katherine the owner went above & beyond with our special requests nothing to much of a problem.

Catherine was friendly and allowed us a very generous early check in. The room was nicely decorated, spacious and spotless. Separated shower and toilet/vanity areas was highly appreciated. Apart from the excellent location, it was also very peaceful at night. Had a great sleep as the bed was extremely comfortable. Tasty breakfast selection. Great value for money.

Everything was fantastic! Catherine was a wonderful host and great to chat to. The room and bathroom were spotless and the bed was super comfortable! The location of The Haven is ideal for exploring Windermere and surrounding areas.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Haven. Location was close to the train and bus interchange making it very convenient to get around. The breakfast was superb in a beautiful setting. Katherine’s hospitality, eye for detail and efficiency made our stay most memorable.
