Falkland is the most gorgeous town. The hayloft is amazing and included a private back yard with seating. Dog friendly. We thought it was very nice and would recommend without hesitation.

Lovely property with free public parking close by. Exceptionally clean with great facilities. Remember to take milk and shower products when you go.

Right in the middle of everything, but still super quiet. Parking is in the free lot about 100 meters away, so very convenient. There is a tea room upstairs, but they open later in the morning like 11am, so no noise issues. My favorite part was the tea room leaving some scones and jam in the room and they were delicious! I loved Falkland this was a great place to stay.

    Nothing. It was great.

Location and friendly host. Host left lovely cakes for us on arrival. Good enclosed garden for dogs. Location is excellent for seeing the palace and there are amazing country walks in the Falkland estate.

Parking was not on site but in a public car park 100 mtrs away. If only bringing a few bags it’s not an issue. Ground floor bedroom is fairly small and the window faces onto road. If one leaves the window open to let air into the bedroom, it is quite noisy from traffic early in the morning. Not a problem on Sunday mornings as quiet.

The Hayloft is in a beautiful village. Upstairs is a tea room and Dawn leaves you cakes each day. You have a double bedroom. A sofa bed. Kitchen . Bathroom. WiFi. Your own garden. Everything you need is in the flat. Even teas and coffee. All cleaning products and toilet rolls were supplied. Very welcoming Dog friendly Only one thing I missed after long days out. Netflix on the tv.. Amazing stay.

self catering - hosts were fantastic, they also run one of the village tearooms, and kindly gave us delicious cake & scones they serve both days - the garden is private and totally secure for pets, normally when a property says dog proof ours which a very small dog could find a way out. The hosts were informative on the local area and very pleasant - will certainly look to go again

Great location, lovely secure garden with seating area. Everything there that you would need. Owner left fresh scones and jam🙂

Sofa was a little uncomfortable but I think it was a sofa bed so maybe necessary for extra guests.

A bit noisy during the night as there was boiler upstairs making sound.

I was very happy to return to the Hayloft due to its location close to parking, village centre and lovely walks. Bonuses for me-the courtyard for my dog first thing in the morning and last thing at night and for me being able to sit out due to the exceptional weather. Also very grateful for the step up available to get into the bath/shower. Only saw the host on arrival but knew where to find/contact if needed. Facilities, comfort , location and price will hopefully mean another return visit

    Can't think of anything

The host was wonderful, truly wonderful. We weren't able to take our own slippers so the host provided ones to us free of charge, which were really lovely too. We also had complimentary bakes from them even though it wasn't needed. Throughout the whole stay the lady was just really wonderful, we would definitely visit. The scenery was just great, the location is perfect !

Set in a charming old building, it was small but very well laid out with a delightful garden area at the back.

Brilliant location for exploring Falkland and surrounds. Very helpful and friendly staff. Courtyard that catches the sun.

Main room was quite hot and couldn't connect to the wifi

The location was excellent, very convenient and peaceful, right in the heart of the village of Falkland. Easy parking across the road in a public free carpark. The apartment is on the ground floor and owned by The Hayloft cafe above it, who left a slice of cake every afternoon which was very nice. There is also a small courtyard garden which was very pleasant to sit out in.

The bed was only a double and pushed up against one wall of the bedroom as the room is quite small. This was fine for me as I was travelling on my own, but I would have found that a pain if I was travelling with a partner.

Location was great and having an enclosed garden great for the dog. The staff were very friendly and the complimentary scones from the tea room was a nice touch.

The bed wasn’t very comfortable- could feel the springs so could do with a new mattress. As we were only there 1 night and checked out before staff arrived we didn’t see anyone to mention this. There were some planks of old floorboards in the garden with nails still in them which were stacked behind the summer house which was a bit of a hazard for our dog.

Although compact, this accommodation offers everything you could possibly need and more, the secure courtyard garden was perfect for our dogs, one of who is quite reactive.
