The room was very well furnished and a good shiwer. The breakfast was excellent although I only chose to eat cereal, fruit salad and toast.

We opted for a stay in the annexe, for a three night stay to celebrate our 53rd wedding anniversary in the north east. We were delighted with our stay. Sue looks after all B&B guests, and is an excellent hostess. The annexe was spotless, well equipped and Sue provided wonderful breakfasts each morning. Nothing was too much trouble, and her advice on local eateries for dinner, or local tourist locations, was much appreciated. It was a most enjoyable stay. If returning to the area, we'd book again! But could the weather be like that we enjoyed, again: blue skies and warm / hot sunshine

There is a lot of parking next to the property but it does gat very busy.

Lovely, quiet, well equipped and comfortable annex with garden and hill views. Well situated within the village with a useful Co-op very close by along with all the other town amenities. Excellent breakfast.

The decor was beautiful, the property spotless & the owners friendly & helpful without being over-familiar. The breakfast was well-presented, delicious & locally-sourced. The location was perfect for our needs

Everything. The place was spotless, and felt like home from home. Everything felt great quality and cared for. breakfast was amazing and catered for my dairy free/ gluten free diet. My husband nearly couldn't finish his cooked breakfast and he's never had that before. The b&b was in the main area and also very quiet at night. Convenient for walking from and handy for local shop, chemist, newsagent, co-op etc.

Sue and Alan made our two night stay perfect. They went out of their way to help us make the most of our time. The room was lovely and clean and the breakfast was excellent.

Slightly difficult to fill kettle from sink

Central location, easy to find with plenty of close free parking and only short walks to pubs for evening meals. Shower was powerful with plenty of towels. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked using local ingredients and very filling.

The en suite door was a folding screen door and didn’t feel very private - the only down side to the property!

It was clean and beautifully decorated, the hosts were lovely, great location and the breakfast was delicious

The Hill is immaculate, tastefully decorsted and very comfortable. The views from our room at the back of the property were beautiful! Breakfast was excellent!

We loved our stay here at the Hill B&B. We booked the annex suite which was absolutely amazing, and fully self contained with everything you need, including its own garden and patio furniture. We found it very comfortable with lovely decor throughout. There are plenty of family games in the cupboards and lots of books to read, everything from information on the surrounding area, to cook books! The hosts were super friendly and were on hand incase we needed anything during our stay. We had our breakfast in the main house which was a full English, all cooked fresh to order with toast and fresh coffee and it was absolutely delicious! Fresh juice, cereal, fruit and yoghurt was put out to help ourselves. We will definitely re-book at some point, very highly reccomended. 10 out of 10

Al and Sue were fantastic hosts, we were late and they waited for us without issue. They also cooked a bespoke breakfast for us, which we really appreciated. The room was fantastic, specifically that it was its own property and felt like a home.

It was a great stay. The place was warm, welcoming and spotless clean. The room was on the smaller side but it had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. Hosts were lovely, and the breakfast was freshly made. We would definitely stay again.

We were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our room. The room was lovely and clean , the bed was comfortable and tea and coffee was provided along with a kettle.Breakfast was served next morning with a good choice , cooked breakfast , selection of fruit and a choice of cereals .Great experience. Thank you for a lovely stay would definitely stay again .

Nice people who run the B&B, nice dog, and a great location for walking in the Teesdale area. The room is very modern and the breakfast was great.
