1. The location of the hostel 2. Close to public transport

Unfortunately, my experience at the hostel was very disappointing. The hostel was very dirty, and there was no option to choose separate rooms for females and males, which made the stay uncomfortable. The bathroom was unclean, and the towels and bed linen looked unfresh. The price was also too high for the conditions. I couldn’t stay for the next night and, even though I had already paid, I packed my things and left. This was very disappointing.

Friendly staff, beds were clean, nice selection of areas to hangout, and a small but nice kitchen. Was everything a hostel should be and more. If you get a good roll of the dice with who's staying there it will be a wonderful stay.

Quite a lot of people in a small space with the 3 stacked bunks if everyone is in at the same time. It's hard to get sleep with so many people moving around at different times. Not to the fault of the hostel, but we had lots of disrespectful people during our stay. The staff did the best they could with that I believe. But even so, with mixed gendered bathrooms and stacked bunks it was intimidating for my lady to use the facilities due to that.

Only reason I come back is the staff they make the hostel what it is gabbi is the best Stephanie is hard but fair Sarah is great Kathryn is great rhena is great ygor amazing scarlotte is great Charlotte is great best cleaner is Kevin sometimes you'll see a glaswegian he barks but don't bite

Very good experience. 👍 Organised staff; polite and knowledgeable. Offered assistance when requested, and showed confidence in the positions allocated to them.

I would say the kitchen was small. However, it still functioned reasonably well.

Smashing

Each Bed must have its own power supply cable instead of at other place or at other bed, further must be a separate light for each bed. Rest of the things were great.

No switch board near to bed.

The staff are really nice and welcome

They have bedbugs, i only stayed one night and my whole body is covered with bites. Even my face got bedbug bites, I keep imagining how it must be for someone who has to stay more nights there.

Shubhi and Kieran are the best. Literally every time they make the experience worth my while.

All staff are excellent and lovely people,always greeted with a smile. They're all very relaxed and friendly while being hard working at the same time

Guests who seem unable to follow very straightforward information and hostel rules. There are maintenance issues within the hostel which the staff cannot resolve themselves and these require to be addressed correctly and timeously

The hostel is dirty, the beds are very noisy and the mattress is old with springs that hurt your body. The price is too high for such conditions. I am very disappointed.

Friendly staff. Well equipped for short stay

Nothing to dislike. Its a hostel, so nothing fancy but cheap

The staff are the glue holding this place together if you ever lose the main staff such as Sarah Stephanie gabby Kevin this place would not function right I don't think it's acceptable the owner let's them take the blame for everything being broken it's not they're fault they Go above and beyond for guest's

It's falling apart bit by bit and staff ain't to blame

Near the tram stop and the train station. Beds not uncomfortable. Aimable staff who know the building well. Good for staying if wanting to go out and enjoy the night life in Edinburgh

Far from the city center. Beds moved around too much. Needs a better ventilation system, with the windows open was still a bit stuffy but that’s probably due to the amount of people in the room.

Hip volunteers run the place. Cheap place to stay.

They need a fan to circulate the air inside rooms with high occupancy. Or something to freshen up the air you breathe in the room
