Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Nothing,it was all round excellent home from home .
The lodge was exactly as shown on the photos beautiful,and set back from the main road so it was very quite..Location was the best ever ,everything on your doorstep and only 10 minutes from my sister I will definitely return . Also train line Stourbridge Junction is about 10 min walk from the house takes you into Birmingham city centre in approximately 30 mins where I can also catch my train or aeroplane back home to Glasgow no more long car journeys.

The Lodge was beautifully decorated and so comfortable. It was like home from home. Best accommodation we have stayed in. The welcome basket was excellent. We will certainly return when we visit our family. We didn’t want to leave.

Jo is a fantastic host, super helpful and quick responses to any questions. The Lodge is a lovely place to stay, very well equipped, top spec furnishings and a lovely bed linen and pillows. I often stay at a nearby hotel, but the Lodge is streaks ahead, thank you Jo.

Very little, not worth noting.
The lodge has been built and furnished to a very high standard. Not your standard holiday rental. Check-in instructions were clear, facilities and supplies were excellent.

There is literally nothing too dislike
I booked here last year and wanted my dad to go back to the black country museum for a boat trip he didn't get to do last time so booked this for his 80th and unfortunately he was ill so my daughter and her partner came as planned and literally there is everything you need in this one property spotless too very well thought out with a lovely welcome basket too and if I get chance I will come back myself super staff always at the end of the phone or a message

Absolutely nothing.
Having stayed at the property before, we knew it was a lovely place to stay. Very clean and comfortable, tastefully decorated and with little extras in the kitchen which saved the need to go shopping for essentials.

Ventilation in the bathroom a bit lacking: windows too high to open.
Lovely spacious apartment, well appointed and equipped, super comfy bed, lovely crockery, enough cutlery, well heated and with its own private gated parking . The location within a few minutes walk of Stourbridge junction suited me very well for the half hour train trip into central Birmingham for the day. Shops, park and petrol all very close by. A super luxurious stay.
