How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Slanted walls make it a little difficult if you’re a taller person but totally understand about as it’s an old building. Also room didn’t have cold water, also slightly difficult to get navigate on first approach but overall very good!

Room is a bit dated, bed could do with a mattress topper as it was very hard as were the pillows, however would I stay again yes definitely 😁
Lovely staff and very welcoming on arrival nothing was too much trouble, the landlord even moped up our bathroom floor after the shower flooded the bathroom, we didn't eat there but the food looked lovely.

Bathroom / toilet , extremely small , ok to manage for one nights stay , but wouldn't want to stay in there (6) any longer , i have to say no on room expectations because of the above 🤔

15-20 minutes drive to centre
The staff were very friendly. The lady at the reception even installed a mini fridge at our request. They were kind enough to make a toast for us too on request ( we gave our own bread ) Good parking space Cleanliness Room layout Ample room space

Staff are really friendly and helpful so thank you. It would've been awesome for a breakfast opportunity however we knew this when booking. Can I suggest to obtaining larger towels and more comfortable mattresses and pillows. My 2 daughters ended up sleeping on the floor as it was more comfortable. But thanks for accommodating us and for your utmost professionalism and friendliness.

Mattresses are of cheap quality, hurt my back, member of staff ignored me when I went to check out, clearly knew I was waiting for anyone to actually turn up at reception, also had a call on the Saturday asking if they could have the single mattress as they had messed up another booking assuming I would share the double bed with my travel companion, as it was my 28 year old daughter the answer was NO. Surely any guest house this size would keep a spare mattress or 2? Unprofessional to even ask

The hotel is located in a quaint village. There was a small car park at the back of the hotel, which is used by all pub visitors so you may not always get a space. Some rooms are in ground floor. Bed was not very comfortable. If your next room guest is noisy you will hear them. The pub had loud music at night. There was no breakfast facility. There is a Morrison 500 meter walk away. Mobile signal was hit and miss. WiFi was available but speed was slow.
Room was spacious. Furniture were old but clean. The desk was too low for computer work. My room was disabled friendly. Hence the bathroom was big but wash basin too low and small for comfortable usage. We were given a mini fridge in the room.

The bath/shower was very slippery with no grab rails. Would have liked a breakfast at the Inn. Mattress bit uncomfortable but hubby said it was OK for him.
We loved our room and use of fan. Parking great.
