The only slight downside is that the host doesn’t provide a cooked breakfast but that is explained and I fully understand the reason for it. But it didn’t deter from s very enjoyable visit. I wouldn’t have any doubts about visiting again.

All the nice little touches were appreciated. We had lovely chocolate cake on our arrival plus jelly sweets and biscuits as well as plenty of tea and coffee. There was even some pillow mist by our bed a real lovely touch. The room was bright and immaculate and the en-suite the same. The continental breakfast was well presented and enjoyed some nice fresh fruit and orange juice as well as fresh croissants.

I would have liked fresh coffee rather than instant and fresh pastries rather than individually wrapped as they tend to be soggy. The yogurt with fruit and nuts was very tasty though!

The house is very close to the castle and also the Wye valley. It’s in a relatively quiet area in a controlled speed area. The ginger cake was a great touch on arrival and we enjoyed it, thank you!

I would find it hard for anyone to have a point to make with this question.

we booked as we were attending a gig at Caldicot Castle. The location is as good as it gets for that reason and if you like a drink the Castle Inn is looking at yer from over the road. The host Janice was and is. if Carlsberg made a host then you would get Janice. Self check in so theres no hanging about with cake and biscuits awaiting in your room. The rooms were ensuite and were for me a regular traveller, flawless. The other pubs and take aways are a 2 minute walk and all within distance.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. If I'm being reeeeeally picky (and I'm honestly not) then maybe a template message for all guests just saying the key will be here, parking here, this is the score for breakfast and checkout time - as I didn't really know what time that was. That might just make things a bit easier for you and most places do it.

So much. The location for an event in the castle was SUPERB. Honestly, couldn't be happier. The hostess did text with the key location a few days early (only suggesting a template email to make it easier for you), and when I asked about parking it was literally in the next street and no issues. Some home made cake in the room was LOVELY. You don't get that in a hotel. Also, Jelly Beans, biscuits and loads of tea and coffee. I was starving on arrival and that was a blessing. The room was absolutely great and the ensuite was pretty new and spotless. Loads of little touches, like sprays and things for you to use.

Rather small room with very soft bed, the unfortunate noisy pigeons & seagulls in the early hours, which can’t be helped .

Close to Caldicot Castle Inn pub, outside seating, car park, great coffee with extras in room, cleanliness and a great smell.

Nice bed and breakfast in a charming village/small town. Room was as expected but with a few extra touches (such as chocolate cake to have with tea). Nice walk aroung castle grounds and drinks in pub oppposite (we ate elsewhere as pub's hygeine score only 3). Good continental breakfast with lots of choice. We were cycling and were offered use of a washing machine, though didn't need it.

M$ was closed back from cardiff so the Taxi was v expensive! not Janice fault but def worth knowing to only use the train!

Breakfast was continental style although a heavy night before prevented us making the time! We did however receive a lovely doggy bag for the journey home!

The guest house was very tidy and well maintained, with some lovely little touches in the room. The owner is lovely, very friendly and welcoming and the guest house is situated opposite a nice pub.

Great range of tea bags and the little added extras were a nice touch. The cake was delicious. The room was clean and very comfortable. The continental style breakfast worked well with plenty of choices.

Absolutely superb B&B in a convenient location. Quiet, beautifully decorated, exceptionally comfortable bed, and every small detail carefully considered by the lovely proprietress. An excellent pub directly across the road, for good food & drink, and a short walk on to the very striking castle. I plan to return when next in the locality. Unhesitatingly recommended!
