Parking is very limited. The beds were metal and the mattress dipped in the middle. Beds were like an institution old hospital bed. Not comfortable. Didn’t sleep well due to the bed rattling all night. Breakfast was passable. Cold tea.

The location was perfect. Cleanliness good and spacious.

That when the pub closed the side bar then turns into like a night club people sat out on the courtyard till 2-3 am of a morning shouting ect so kept us awake

I stayed in the little building at the side of the pub it was nice and roomy but I think they could make more use of the space in the massive rooms there was a bath in the room that had no bath plug so we could use it so think it’s just a waste tbh a kitchenette would be more useful in that space

A fan in the room would be helpful as the room became very stuffy during the night.

The location is superb. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The food is very good. We enjoyed our stay.

Room already dark aspect and 2missing light bulbs. Had to ask for remote TV control. No instructions for heater for this cool, could be damp room with no central heating

Bathroom could be cleaner. Under sink pipes dirty as was the base of the toilet. Seems only the toilet itself was clean.

The breakfast was excellent. Room very comfortable. Location excellent. Good lively music. We don't go to bed late so we didn't mind the music being on late.

We expected noise from live music having read the reviews so purposely stayed up quite late watching the band. No need really for further loud music when band finished in my opinion but we knew it would go on till 1am

no light bulbs in bedside lamps, just empty sockets. No surface in ensuite to put a toilet bag, or even somewhere to hold the loo roll. Bar area very dark and lighting in restaurant area also poor. I understand the need to set the right ambience, but needed more light generally.

Had absolutely no where to park. Had to keep transferring car around car parks Music was great but band finished 11.30 then we went to bed and unbelievable loud disco music under floor of bedroom started until 1 am in the morning

We were unaware (but later saw on booking.com) there was live music on weekends. It was the staff (on arrival) that highlighted this and said it finished at 11 but online it said it was 12 but in reality it was 1am with clearing up noises and very drunk people in the street until 1.30am. The vibration from the times when the band played (as opposed to recorded music) meant that all the items on the dressing table vibrated keys etc. I think other people have reported the drains being clogged and dirty. Our sink would not empty unless you lifted what should be a pop up plug but was brown and disgusting below….not what you want to see while cleaning your teeth. The same with the shower that seemed to be running away very slowly.

The location, the vibe was good. The cooked breakfast was good.

Our room was above a nightclub and very loud. |We had an early start on the Sunday. I sent messages via booking.com, but when arrived at the hotel they said they had not received anything. I am Gluten, Soya and Lactose free so this was really awkward.

Unclear from booking that private bathroom was across the hall from room so had to dress and undress to use during night. There were no hooks for towels and it was not clean bits all over floor and shower glass not cleaned since last person used.

Garden a mess really, looked like not tidied all year. Could be such a lovely area to sit out in (and charge more for!). Bathroom needs some tlc.

Great location right on the river front, near 'the bridge' with lots of shops and pubs within easy walk. Nice size room and bathroom and access to outside garden area. Food was lovely, especially breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff.

We stayed in the drawing room which appears to be directly above the drinking den. Felt like the live band were in the room with us. If you want a quiet night ask for a quiet room. I’m sure there must be some and we just got unlucky but as it was only for one night we just got on with it but it was very loud
