The location, food was lovely, staff friendly, entertainment good

Double bed, would have preferred king size, but knew that when booked

Bed wayyyy too soft. No window

The location was perfect. Cleanliness good and spacious.

Parking is very limited. The beds were metal and the mattress dipped in the middle. Beds were like an institution old hospital bed. Not comfortable. Didn’t sleep well due to the bed rattling all night. Breakfast was passable. Cold tea.

Room was damp and smelt very musty My clothes were damp in the morning Went for breakfast at 9.35 to be told breakfast finished at 9.30 on a bank holiday Monday We was not informed of this before hand and no notice anywhere of this so paid for breakfast that we didn’t get !!!

Lovley quirky pub, food is lovley, few pubs in a strip.

Parking is not the easiest. The pub toilet could do with some tlc. The rooms wasn’t very clean . No heating on in the rooms so cold.

I stayed in the little building at the side of the pub it was nice and roomy but I think they could make more use of the space in the massive rooms there was a bath in the room that had no bath plug so we could use it so think it’s just a waste tbh a kitchenette would be more useful in that space

That when the pub closed the side bar then turns into like a night club people sat out on the courtyard till 2-3 am of a morning shouting ect so kept us awake

The location is superb. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The food is very good. We enjoyed our stay.

A fan in the room would be helpful as the room became very stuffy during the night.

The staff were very friendly and the dinner was brilliant. They served in good time and seemed comfortable in their job, which is always a good sign. The room we stayed in was clean and neat, not too spacious, but we only needed it for one night, so it wasn't an issue.

Friendly staff, excellent restaurant

Room already dark aspect and 2missing light bulbs. Had to ask for remote TV control. No instructions for heater for this cool, could be damp room with no central heating

The breakfast was excellent. Room very comfortable. Location excellent. Good lively music. We don't go to bed late so we didn't mind the music being on late.

Bathroom could be cleaner. Under sink pipes dirty as was the base of the toilet. Seems only the toilet itself was clean.

The overloud music ,live band playing until 1pm just below our room . We would definitely not have booked The Malthouse if we had known there was very loud live music and disco going until 1am in the morning . Too tired and miserable to face breakfast the following morning .

We expected noise from live music having read the reviews so purposely stayed up quite late watching the band. No need really for further loud music when band finished in my opinion but we knew it would go on till 1am

Good stop over on journey

breakfast small portions long wait. front room windows would not open, too hot for comfort,changed to attic room which was alright except internal window had no curtain and let the light in all night.

Room wasn’t clean, outdoor area leading to the room very unkempt, very damp smell to the room. No light bulb in the main light, tv did not work. Bathroom run down. The room is in desperate need of a re-vamp.

I had the eggs benidict for breakfast which wasn't the best but my partner had the regular breakfast which was fine

The bed was very hard and pillows hard and lumpy The music playing downstairs was very loud !!
