The mezzanine bed was a bit too "exciting" for us - only 30 cm from the end of the bed to the drop. The sofa bed downstairs was comfy instead.

The Nest was in a lovely location. It had everything you needed including tea/coffee, washing up things, oil etc - much appreciated. We enjoyed the patio area as well.

It was incredibly clean, convenient, and cozy. Melissa is a perfect host – we felt truly welcomed. Everything was of great quality and new, with all the amenities we could possibly need. The location was super convenient, and everything about our stay was perfect. Thank you, we absolutely loved The Nest☺️

Nothing that I really didn't like, but I have to say I didn't enjoy the climb up and down to the mezzanine bed! Once up there and in bed it was very comfy and cozy, but I would not recommend it for an older or less mobile person. There is also a sofa bed but we wanted 2 beds.

The accomodation was a lovely quiet space. It was well equipped for a short break. The private patio was a super place to sit in the evenings. I really enjoyed the bedding! The duvets and pillows were lovely and cosy! The host was very welcoming and friendly. It felt like nothing was too much trouble.

Perfect location as a hub to visit various towns, the coast, and forest walks. The accommodation was great and has everything you need. I chose to use the sofabed instead of the mezzanine which was very comfortable! Melissa was also very welcoming on my arrival.

Lovely quiet location, 2minute walk to Heathland and horses. It was beautifully decorated and was a great central location for exploring the New forest.

The only thing was the precarious ladder to the top bed (you see it clearly from the photos so no surprise). Apart from having to pay great attention to your balance and footing, it would have been easier on the bare feet if the rungs were flat rather than rounded. That would have definitely made the climbing process less of a challenge.

Hosts v friendly and welcoming. This little (detached) unit sits behind their family home. Everything v straightforward. Unit was exceptionally clean and tidy and contained all we needed. Nice little private back patio with table and chairs. Bed linen very nice indeed - all lovely crisp white cotton. Unit was small but had all two of us needed - fridge, microwave, kettle, etc. Electric showers are normally not up to much but this one was excellent. Short walk along the road to a nice and friendly Fuller's pub, The Rising Sun, which does food and has a lot of outdoor seating (and apparently gets v popular in the summer so you may need to book a table in advance). And provided you take great care with the stepladder, you're rewarded with views of the night/morning sky from your bed!

- Very clean - Very accommodating host - Provided great recommendations for places to visit - Easy location to get to and from places - The social club on the same road reminded us both of old school community, this is a lovely reset to visit in the evening and is very cheap! Highly recommend visiting - Highly recommend the walk along the coast to Hurst Castle only 15 mins from the beach

The shower is a bit hit and miss .it a shame as otherwise we had a magnificent time

The location was great close to the places we wanted to visit.we had to arrive late, and they were very helpful with the directions. A lot of helpful information heating was put on priory to are arrivel so nice and cosy ☺️

A small supply of tea/coffee/coffee pods and milk would have been handy when we arrived while waiting for our shop to be delivered. A blind/covering for the bathroom and loft windows would be helpful. We loved our time there and would stay again.

The Nest is a lovely little haven of peace and tranquility. The accommodation was spotlessy clean and smelt divine. Melissa was extremely helpful and always available to answer questions and give advice. We ate out at the Rising sun and also the Hare & Hounds, both were very good, especially the H & H with very reasonable priced food which was served boiling hot. The Nest is well equipped for a short stay. We slept on both the loft bed and the sofa bed and both were very comfortable. The surrounding area is beautiful and within a couple of minutes walk you are in the New Forest.

Property was very clean, well set out and presented. The owner Melissa made sure I had all the information I needed to enjoy my stay. I would recommend staying at The Nest and look forward to my next stay.

Review for ‘The Nest’ We visited this cosy get away recently and enjoyed a very quiet and chilled weekend together. The ‘nest’ was spotlessly clean and contained everything needed to feel at home, all furnished to a very high standard. The host was very friendly and provided lots of information on the local area. Nothing was too much trouble. You can see that a lot of time and thought has been put into making this a great place to stay.
