Had an excellent time at The Old Forge and Julie was absolutely lovely. The garden is beautiful, as is the building. Breakfast was good, too, though I only had a light one once.

Seems petty but we couldn't get the tap under the sink tap to fill it or fill it from the bath without getting in due to the fixed shower screen!!!! The shower jet wasn't very strong while the pressure in the basin taps was very good. We were only there 2 nights and should have done more investigating before we arrived as both restaurants fully booked. However the pub and bistro were good.

The Forge was nice and central. Breakfast excellent served in pretty conservatory looking out over the garden, Julie was very attentive. The bed was very comfortable and our balcony a bonus.

The hosts were lovely and helped with lots of advice about Totnes. We could not have found a better place. There is nothing we did not like.

Breakfasts were excellent and in a very nice environment. Only a short walk to the town and there were many walks to be had near the river. We went on several trips out of Totnes and found it an excellent base. There was even a bookshelf for us to borrow books for our evening read.

We were met with a warm welcome from our host. The room was light and spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was served to order with a good choice available. The location is ideal for the town centre and surrounding area

Lovely host who always makes you feel welcome. Gorgeous part of Totnes and brilliant location, including on site parking which is a bonus. Breakfast is wonderful and caters to your needs. Small but perfectly formed room including a lovely shower room.

Hot water took an age to come through and the water flow was weak for both the shower and the bath

We loved the Old Forge, which is full of character with a beautiful conservatory, terrace and garden. Every detail was carefully curated, from the fresh milk and flowers in the room and the lovely toiletries to the full English breakfast. We would stay again. A lovely walk into town

The room was spotless, and the bnb is in a quiet area, right next to town. The host very keen to make your stay as comfortable as possible and will sort out any issues you may have. Breakfast was beautiful. The building felt very cosy to come back to after a chilly day out.

We have had a superb stay at The Old Forge! The room was well equipped and comfy and we would happily have stayed longer 😄. The proximity to the town meant that we could park the car and walk in the evening for our dinner. No noise from traffic though. Thanks to Julie for her hospitality...we loved the breakfasts too. Would love to return in the Summer and experience the garden setting.
